Pacific Hotel
Your Seoul Retreat
First Impressions
Walking into Pacific Hotel, you immediately get that feeling of stepping into something special without the pretentious vibe that some four-star places can have. The lobby strikes this perfect balance — polished enough that you feel like you’re somewhere nice, but not so formal that you’re worried about your travel clothes. I mean, after a long flight into Seoul, that’s exactly what you want. The staff actually seems genuinely happy to see you, which honestly caught me off guard in the best way possible.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about Jung-gu — you’re basically in the heart of everything that matters in Seoul, but Pacific Hotel sits on this quieter side street that feels like a little secret. Toegye-ro 20-gil might sound intimidating if you don’t speak Korean, but trust me, you’ll figure it out quickly because everything is so walkable from here. Myeongdong shopping district is literally a few minutes away, and you can easily stroll to Namsan Tower when you want those Instagram-worthy city views. The couples who rave about this location (and apparently they really do) aren’t wrong — there’s something romantic about having all of Seoul at your fingertips while still being able to retreat to this peaceful little corner.
The Room Experience
The rooms at Pacific Hotel are what I’d call thoughtfully designed rather than flashy. You’ve got everything you actually need without a bunch of unnecessary bells and whistles that just jack up the price. The beds are genuinely comfortable — not just hotel-marketing comfortable — and the bathrooms are surprisingly spacious for Seoul standards. What I really appreciated was the attention to soundproofing; even though you’re in the middle of one of the world’s busiest cities, you can actually get a decent night’s sleep. The views vary depending on which room you get, but honestly, you’ll be out exploring most of the time anyway.
Practical Perks
You know what’s actually useful? The private parking that Pacific Hotel offers. If you’re planning to rent a car and explore beyond Seoul (which I’d recommend), having a guaranteed parking spot in this part of the city is worth its weight in gold. The hotel also handles the little things well — reliable WiFi, helpful concierge service that doesn’t make you feel stupid for asking basic tourist questions, and they’re surprisingly good at helping with restaurant reservations in the neighborhood. These aren’t glamorous features, but they’re the kind of things that make your trip smoother.
Why Guests Love It
After staying at Pacific Hotel, I get why it consistently scores so well with visitors. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Seoul — it’s trying to be the place where you have the best experience of Seoul. The location really is unbeatable for exploring, the service feels personal rather than corporate, and the whole vibe just works. You’re paying for a four-star experience that actually delivers on its promises without any nasty surprises. For couples especially, there’s something appealing about having a comfortable home base that doesn’t eat up your entire travel budget, leaving more money for all the incredible food and experiences Seoul has to offer.

Guest Reviews
The room is clean and nice. Very convenient place too. From the airport, you can take the airport limousine bus and it will stop near the hotel, just a minute's walk. The subway's very near too. We arrived at the hotel around 12 noon, and we were able to check-in straight away thankfully. Check-in was done fast and swiftly. Room was cleaned everyday and they changed the bedsheets and towels too. Will definitely stay here again, and recommend to others.
I loved that while we were still some distance away, the concierge uncle came running forward to help us with our luggage. That was really sweet and thoughtful especially when it was just me and my mom!
Best location — it’s a few steps away from Myeongdong station and right across the shopping street!
There is a lot to love about our stay at Pacific Hotel. The location makes it very easy to explore Myeongdong as well as easy access to the train to see the rest of beautiful Seoul. The 24hr reception made it very easy to check in after our late flight. The rooms are well sized, clean and comfortable. Also there's a wicked chicken shop outside called two-two. Bonus!
Very close to Myeongdong station...like 3 min walk! Across the street from shopping and night market. The hotel was clean and staff was very kind.
Location, just can't be beat if you're looking for transport connections and the vibrant Myeongdong district.
For the record, I'm a repeat customer.
