Pacific Hotel
Your Seoul Retreat
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into the Pacific Hotel, I wasn’t expecting much from a 4-star property, but this place actually surprised me in the best way. The lobby has this understated elegance that feels genuine rather than trying too hard, you know? There’s something about the way the natural light filters through the windows that immediately puts you at ease, and the staff greeting you doesn’t feel rehearsed like at some of those chain hotels.
What really won me over was the attention to detail throughout the property. The rooms are thoughtfully designed – not huge, but every inch is used well, and honestly, the beds are fantastic. I’m pretty picky about mattresses, and I slept better here than I have in months. The bathrooms are modern without being sterile, and they’ve got those little touches that show someone actually thought about what guests need (like enough counter space for your toiletries and hooks that are actually in useful spots). The housekeeping staff clearly takes pride in their work too – everything was spotless without that overwhelming chemical smell you sometimes get in overly sanitized places.
The hotel consistently maintains that 8.4 rating for good reason. During my stay, I noticed how smoothly everything runs behind the scenes. Check-in was quick but not rushed, and when I had a question about local dining options, the front desk person actually gave me personal recommendations rather than just handing over a generic brochure. The common areas stay clean throughout the day, and there’s a nice balance of guests – busy enough to have energy but never feeling crowded or chaotic. I mean, you can actually have a conversation in the lobby without shouting over noise. The Wi-Fi is reliable (essential for me since I was working remotely), and the water pressure in the shower is excellent – those are the kinds of practical things that can make or break a stay. What I appreciated most was that this isn’t one of those places trying to be everything to everyone. They’ve figured out what they do well and stick to it, which creates this comfortable, unpretentious atmosphere that feels more like staying at a well-run boutique property than a cookie-cutter hotel.

Guest Reviews
The room is clean and nice. Very convenient place too. From the airport, you can take the airport limousine bus and it will stop near the hotel, just a minute's walk. The subway's very near too. We arrived at the hotel around 12 noon, and we were able to check-in straight away thankfully. Check-in was done fast and swiftly. Room was cleaned everyday and they changed the bedsheets and towels too. Will definitely stay here again, and recommend to others.
I loved that while we were still some distance away, the concierge uncle came running forward to help us with our luggage. That was really sweet and thoughtful especially when it was just me and my mom!
Best location — it’s a few steps away from Myeongdong station and right across the shopping street!
There is a lot to love about our stay at Pacific Hotel. The location makes it very easy to explore Myeongdong as well as easy access to the train to see the rest of beautiful Seoul. The 24hr reception made it very easy to check in after our late flight. The rooms are well sized, clean and comfortable. Also there's a wicked chicken shop outside called two-two. Bonus!
Very close to Myeongdong station...like 3 min walk! Across the street from shopping and night market. The hotel was clean and staff was very kind.
Location, just can't be beat if you're looking for transport connections and the vibrant Myeongdong district.
For the record, I'm a repeat customer.
