Here’s what I love about the location — you’re right in the heart of Jung-gu, which means you can actually walk to most of the places tourists want to see without dealing with subway transfers every five minutes. Myeongdong is practically next door, and I mean that literally — it’s maybe a three-minute walk to all that shopping chaos. But here’s the thing: step back onto Toegye-ro 66-gil and you’re on this peaceful residential street where locals go about their daily routines. You get the best of both worlds, really.

The Rooms

The rooms at DDP House strike that perfect balance between Korean minimalism and actual comfort. I’ve stayed in plenty of Seoul hotels where “compact” is code for “you’ll bump into everything,” but these spaces feel thoughtfully designed. The beds are genuinely comfortable — not just adequate — and there’s enough storage space that you won’t be living out of your suitcase.
