The lobby has this understated elegance – not trying too hard to impress, just clean lines and comfortable seating where you can actually relax without feeling like you’re disturbing some perfect Instagram setup.

The location is pretty fantastic if you’re planning to do serious shopping or just soak up the energy of Seoul‘s busiest district. You’re literally surrounded by everything that makes Myeongdong tick – those narrow alleys packed with street food vendors (the hotteok stands are ridiculous, by the way), cosmetics shops that’ll make your head spin, and honestly some of the best people-watching in the city. What I really appreciated was how the hotel manages to feel like a quiet retreat despite being right in the thick of things. The rooms have decent soundproofing, which is crucial because Myeongdong doesn’t really sleep. I stayed on the seventh floor and could barely hear the street buzz, even with the windows slightly open for some fresh air.

The residence-style setup is actually pretty clever – you get more space than your typical hotel room, and there’s something nice about having a little kitchenette area even if you’re not planning to cook much. The staff genuinely seems to know the neighborhood well, which sounds obvious but trust me, it’s not always the case. They pointed me toward this amazing jjigae place tucked away on a side street that I never would’ve found otherwise. Check-in was smooth, no weird surprises with fees or policies, and the elevator situation isn’t a nightmare like some places in the district where you’re waiting forever during busy periods. If you’re coming during peak shopping season – basically any weekend or holiday period – you’ll appreciate having a base where you can drop off your shopping bags and regroup before diving back into the madness outside.

  Staff were super friendly. We arrived early so they helped store our luggage until check in time.
  They also arranged my airport transfer for a good price.

  We were five people so we booked two rooms. One was an Executive Double Room and the other Two Bedroom Deluxe Suite. Both rooms were equipped with a kitchenette and some cooking utensils. The amenities provided are what are expected of a 3-star hotel (slippers, towels, linen, iron, etc.) Personal amenities are not provided.
  
  As for the location, it is located around a 5-10 minutes walk from Myeongdong which is quite convenient.
  
  The rooms that we stayed in are a bit old but well-maintained for cleanliness. Some of the toilet fixtures (towel racks) may need maintenance. The towels provided are clean but a bit frayed on the ends.
