Orakai Daehakro Hotel, BW Signature Collection
Your Seoul Retreat
First Impressions
Walking into the Orakai Daehakro Hotel, BW Signature Collection, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical business hotel. The lobby has this understated elegance that feels distinctly Korean — not trying too hard to impress, but clearly thoughtful about every detail. I mean, the location alone tells you they know what they’re doing, sitting right in the heart of Jongno-gu where you can actually feel the pulse of Seoul. It’s a four-star property that honestly punches above its weight class.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re literally steps away from some of Seoul’s most fascinating contrasts. Bukchon Hanok Village is practically next door, where you can wander through traditional Korean architecture, and then five minutes later you’re grabbing street food or diving into the university district’s buzzing energy. The couples who stay here get it (they rate the location 8.9, and I totally understand why) — there’s something romantic about being able to walk to Changdeokgung Palace for sunset, then find a cozy pojangmacha for late-night snacks.
Room Experience
The room I stayed in was what I’d call “Seoul sophisticated” — clean lines, warm wood accents, and those floor-to-ceiling windows that actually open, which is rarer than you’d think in modern hotels. You know what impressed me most? The attention to both Korean and international guests’ needs. There’s a proper workspace if you’re here on business, but also these thoughtful touches like quality tea service and really good blackout curtains that let you sleep off jet lag properly.
Breakfast & Practical Perks
The breakfast buffet here actually surprised me — they’ve got this solid mix of Asian, American, and Korean options that doesn’t feel like they’re just checking boxes. The kimchi jjigae was legit (not the watered-down hotel version you sometimes get), and they do proper American coffee alongside traditional Korean teas. What really sold me though was the private parking situation — if you’re planning to rent a car and explore beyond Seoul, having guaranteed parking in this part of the city is honestly a game-changer.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Seoul has plenty of hotels, but this one gets the balance right between accessibility and authenticity. You’re not stuck in some sterile tourist bubble, but you’re also not sacrificing comfort for “local experience.” The staff genuinely seems to understand that travelers want to explore — they’ll point you toward the lesser-known temples nearby or tell you which subway exit gets you to Insadong fastest. With an 8.6 rating, it’s clear other guests are picking up on the same vibe I did — this place just works, whether you’re here for business meetings in Gangnam or weekend temple-hopping with your partner.

Guest Reviews
Everything was perfect, good location (bus stops around hotel), room was silent, comfortable beds and room service was great,we really enjoy our stay:)
Everything. It was an amazing stay.
The room was spacious and always clean. It has a refrigerator, a kettle and tea, coffee and fresh water bottles were served every day.
The hotel has a very good equipped gym, and a laundry room with a microwave for everyone to use.
The bus 162 is just outside and needs like 20mins to the center. The metro jongno 5 is like a 13mins walk away and brings you to the station.
Next to the hotel are also 2 convenient stores and many korean restaurants are close by.
I didnt book the breakfast, so idk about that one.
Nice location, accessible by metro and many busses, clean, polite and helpful staff.
Excellent location. Walking distance from a lot of tourist seightseeings.
Good enough location, very functional
The staff here was incredibly polite and provided top-notch hospitality. Some hotels just go through the motions without truly understanding this level of service, but not this one. The quality of service was outstanding, making it a truly excellent hotel.
The staff were very helpful and very professional
