Oakwood Premier Coex Center Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Oakwood Premier Coex Center, I wasn’t expecting much from what I thought would be just another business hotel in Gangnam. But you know what? This place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The lobby hits you with this sleek, modern vibe that’s polished without being pretentious, and the staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests rather than just going through the motions. What really caught my attention was how they’ve managed to create spaces that feel both luxurious and livable – like, you could actually imagine hanging out here rather than just crashing for the night.
The location is honestly brilliant if you’re doing any kind of business in Seoul or just want to be in the thick of things without the chaos. You’re literally connected to the COEX complex, which means you can wander through the massive underground shopping area, grab dinner at dozens of restaurants, or even catch a movie without stepping outside – pretty clutch during those brutal Seoul winters, I can tell you. The nearby Bongeunsa Temple offers this perfect contrast to all the urban energy, and it’s maybe a five-minute walk when you need to decompress. I mean, where else can you go from a traditional Buddhist temple to world-class shopping in the same block?
The rooms themselves feel more like upscale apartments than typical hotel spaces, which makes sense given Oakwood’s serviced apartment background. Everything’s thoughtfully designed – the kitchenette actually works (rare in hotels, honestly), the workspace doesn’t feel like an afterthought, and the beds are the kind you sink into after a long day of meetings or sightseeing. The bathrooms are spacious with those deep soaking tubs that Koreans do so well. One thing that really stood out was the soundproofing – even though you’re right in the heart of one of Seoul’s busiest districts, the rooms stay surprisingly quiet. The service consistently impressed me too; housekeeping paid attention to little details, and the concierge staff had solid recommendations that went beyond the obvious tourist spots. Sure, it’s not cheap, but for a five-star property in this location with this level of service, it actually feels like decent value. If you’re looking for a place that combines the convenience of being connected to everything with genuinely comfortable accommodations, this spot delivers.

I had a mix feelings when I firstly arrived at the hotel. The checked-in was quick. And the room was comfortable. I got all i needed for my 5 days stayed. Washing machine and dryer, iron and iron board, fridge, air fryer, and even microwave. Location is near to anything and everything that you could wish for. The COEX is just next door. We found halal food easily around here. Taxi access was also very good. If you need to book taxi in advance, the concierge team was there to help me booked a large SUV to airport at no cost. During my last day, I requested for late check out at the front desk. I was basically prepared to pay up to 50% of the price considering that our flight out was at 8pm and we planned to leave the hotel by 4pm. Having a small baby would not be convinience for us to roam around and we decided to stay at the hotel. The front desk has granted my late check out till 4 pm without any additional charges. Kudos for the services!I love to come back soon!
