About this stay

Your Seoul Retreat

First Impressions

Walking into Newly Renovated 2 Bedroom Apartment #7, you can immediately tell someone put real thought into this place. The renovation work is fresh but not sterile — you know what I mean, where everything feels lived-in rather than like a showroom. It’s tucked away on a quiet side street in Yongsan-Gu, which honestly surprised me because you’re still incredibly close to everything that matters in Seoul. The building itself is unassuming, but that’s actually part of the charm.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about this spot — couples absolutely love it here, and I can see why. You’re in this perfect sweet spot where you can walk to Itaewon’s international dining scene in about ten minutes, but you’re not dealing with the noise and crowds when you want to relax. The subway connections are solid too; Sinheung Station is practically around the corner. I mean, the location scored a 9.2 from recent guests, which honestly doesn’t surprise me at all. You’ve got convenience stores, local eateries, and that authentic Seoul neighborhood feel without being too far from the action.

The Space Itself

This three-star apartment really maximizes its space well — the two bedrooms are actually properly sized, not those cramped afterthoughts you sometimes get. The kitchen is fully functional, which is huge if you want to grab ingredients from the local markets and cook something up. Everything feels clean and modern, but they kept some character in the design choices. The living area has this nice flow to it, and there’s enough room for everyone to spread out without stepping on each other.

Neighborhood Vibes

What I really appreciate about staying here is how you get to experience Seoul like a local rather than a tourist. The street food vendors in the morning, the way the neighborhood comes alive in the evenings — it’s authentic without being overwhelming. You’re close enough to Namsan Tower that you can walk there if you’re feeling ambitious, and the Han River isn’t far either. The area has this residential feel during the day, but there’s always something happening nearby when you want it.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.5 rating really speaks for itself, but I think it comes down to the balance this place strikes. You’re getting the space and comfort of a proper apartment with the convenience of being in one of Seoul’s most connected neighborhoods. The renovation quality shows in the details — good water pressure, reliable wifi, air conditioning that actually works. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in for a few days and actually feel at home, rather than just passing through. For couples especially, there’s something about having your own space in a city this dynamic that just works.

Very nice, small apartment, superbly located, plenty of nice cafes and restaurants around. Joe took very good care of us and solved all problems immediately. We would love to come back!

The place was clean and very comfortable to stay in. The host was super friendly and nice, he popped in to say hi with his adorable dog, Tommy, and told us about the neighbourhood. Great location, there are plenty of restaurants or cafe nearby and the bus stop is within walking distance. Overall, we had a great time and would love to come back again in the future!

The host was so friendly and welcoming. He greeted us at the door, chit chatted, and gave us tips about the local area. We were even able to call him about how to operate the TV, and he came to help us out. The location is fantastic also. In HBC and right next to Itaewon.

We received all necessary information in advance. If we had any questions, we were always able to contact the host in advance and during our stay. We received a very friendly welcome, were given tips on restaurants as well as places to visit and we were also helped with our unplanned last-minute transfer to the airport, which is anything but a given!
During our stay we were also asked if there is anything we need (enough towels, toilet paper and water in the water dispenser, etc.). This made us feel well taken care of.
The apartment itself had even more than we expected: There was an iron with a small ironing board as well as a hairdryer (and even a hair straightener) and cooking pots. As the host speaks English, we had no problems communicating. The location is also good - it's a quieter neighbourhood with two small supermarkets nearby and bus stops 5-10 minutes away. After spending time in the more crowded city, this may be a relief for some people. The price-performance ratio is really good. I would recommend it to anyone! :-)

Nestled within the vibrant yet tranquil neighborhood of Haebangchon in Seoul, my stay in a renovated 2-bedroom apartment was nothing short of delightful. The allure of Haebangchon, with its harmonious blend of historical charm and modern convenience, set the stage for an excellent stay.

Upon arrival, the apartment exuded a welcoming ambiance, with its cleanliness and modern decor immediately catching the eye. The process of checking in was seamless, allowing us to quickly settle into our temporary home.

This cozy retreat was small, yet comfortable, thoughtfully furnished to create a relaxing environment after a day of exploration. The bedrooms promised restful nights with their comfortable bedding and tranquil setting, undisturbed by the hustle and bustle of the city. The kitchen, equipped with all the essentials.

From high-speed Wi-Fi to a large TV, the apartment was outfitted with all the amenities necessary for both leisure and convenience. The inclusion of a washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen ensured our needs were met without stepping outside.

Haebangchon's charm lies in its steep, winding streets, offering picturesque views at every turn. However, it's worth noting that the area's hilly terrain might present challenges for those with mobility issues. Despite this, the apartment's location was unparalleled in accessibility to local eateries, cafes, and cultural sites, all within walking distance. Public transportation was easily accessible, providing a gateway to explore Seoul's vast attractions.

Contrary to expectations of city living, the apartment offered a sanctuary of peace and quiet, insulated from urban noise. This serenity enhanced the comfort of our stay, ensuring that our nights were as rejuvenating as our days were adventurous.

The warmth and responsiveness of our host added a layer of ease to our stay.
