What really got me was the attention to detail – like, they’ve got these adorable little local snacks in the minibar that you won’t find at the big chain hotels.

Being right in the heart of Seoul’s shopping paradise means you’re literally steps away from everything. I’m talking about stumbling out of the hotel and immediately being surrounded by street food vendors, cosmetics shops, and those late-night Korean BBQ spots that locals actually frequent. The Myeongdong Cathedral is maybe a three-minute walk, and you can easily hop on the subway to explore other neighborhoods – the station’s practically next door. Honestly, the location alone makes this place worth it, but the staff really sealed the deal for me. They’re young, speak excellent English, and actually seem to enjoy their jobs, which isn’t always a given. I had this one front desk guy who drew me a little map of his favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurants in the area, complete with Korean phrases to help me order. That kind of personal touch – along with that solid 8.9 rating it’s earned – tells you everything you need to know about why this place works so well for travelers who want to actually experience Seoul rather than just sleep in it.

  The location is excellent, close to shopping, restaurants, train stations and night markets.
  Our room has four bunk beds. They are comfortable, long enough for my height (6ft), and there is plenty of space for the room, although I heard from other travellers that their room is quite small.
  It provides free coffee and teas for hotel guests 24/7 in the lobby.
  The laundry facilities are good as it is free.
  The staff are friendly and helpful.
