The hotel’s restaurant scene is solid too, though I’ll admit I spent most of my time exploring the neighborhood food scene (as you should). Check-in was smooth as silk, even when I arrived way earlier than I should have after that brutal red-eye flight. They not only held my bags but somehow had my room ready by early afternoon. The 4-star rating doesn’t tell the whole story – this place operates more like a 5-star in terms of service, just without the pretentious attitude that sometimes comes with those flagship properties. If you’re the type who appreciates when a hotel just gets everything right without making a big show of it, you’ll love this place.
