You’re close enough to all the action in Hongdae and Mapo, but you get to experience Seoul more like locals do – there’s this fantastic market nearby where you can grab incredible street food, and the whole area has this lived-in authenticity that some of the more touristy districts have lost. The Han River is practically on your doorstep too, which means early morning or evening walks along the water become part of your routine rather than a special expedition. I found myself looking forward to coming back each day, which isn’t something I can say about most places I stay.
