About this stay

Your Seoul Retreat

You know what really surprised me about Luxury hanok with private foot bathtub -SN17? I went in expecting just another trendy Korean traditional house conversion, but this place actually gets the balance right between authentic charm and modern comfort. The moment you step through that wooden gate, there’s this immediate sense of calm – like the city noise just disappears behind those clay-tiled walls.

The hanok itself is beautifully preserved, with those gorgeous exposed wooden beams and ondol heated floors that feel amazing under your feet, especially during cooler months. But honestly, the real star here is that private foot bathtub they mention in the name. I mean, I’ve stayed in plenty of places with regular tubs, but there’s something almost meditative about soaking your feet in warm water while looking out at the little courtyard garden. It’s one of those simple pleasures that you don’t realize you need until you’re doing it at the end of a long day of exploring. The bathroom setup is actually quite clever – they’ve managed to blend traditional Korean bathing culture with modern plumbing in a way that doesn’t feel forced or gimmicky.

What I really appreciate is how they’ve maintained the authentic hanok experience without making you sacrifice comfort. The bedding is top-notch (and yes, you’ll be sleeping on the floor Korean-style, but the mattresses are surprisingly supportive), and the heating system works perfectly. The courtyard gets lovely morning light, which makes it a perfect spot for coffee if you’re an early riser like me. Storage is thoughtfully designed too – plenty of space for your luggage without cluttering up the clean lines of the space. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the walls are traditional thin hanok style, so if you’re a super light sleeper, you might hear neighbors occasionally, but it’s really not bad at all. For a 4-star rating, this place delivers exactly what you’d want – that authentic Korean architectural experience with genuinely luxurious touches. The 9-point rating makes total sense when you consider how rare it is to find a hanok that’s both historically respectful and genuinely comfortable for modern travelers.

Really beautiful place to stay and great area to walk around and visit.
It’s a residential neighborhood to you need to be quiet and cannot run the hot tub in the evening because it gets really loud and it takes a long time to fill it up with water.
The house was really comfortable and beautiful
