Luxury hanok with private bathtub – SN02
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what caught me completely off guard about Luxury hanok with private bathtub – SN02? I mean, I thought I knew what to expect from a traditional Korean hanok, but this place honestly blew my expectations out of the water. The moment you step through those classic wooden doors, there’s this immediate sense of calm that just washes over you – and I’m saying this as someone who’s usually pretty skeptical about “luxury” accommodations that promise the world.
The private bathtub situation is absolutely no joke here. I’m talking about a proper soaking tub that’s positioned so perfectly you can actually see a slice of sky through the traditional roof opening while you’re lounging in there. The water stays hot for ages (trust me, I tested this extensively), and there’s something almost meditative about the whole experience. The hanok’s original wooden beams create these gorgeous shadows that shift throughout the day, and honestly, I found myself just sitting there watching the light change more than I care to admit. The ondol floor heating system works like a dream too – your feet stay warm even during those chilly Korean nights, though fair warning, it can take a bit of getting used to if you’re not familiar with sleeping closer to the floor.
What really sets this place apart, though, is how they’ve managed to blend modern comfort with authentic traditional design without making it feel forced or touristy. The wooden furniture has that lived-in quality that makes you feel like you’re staying in someone’s carefully curated home rather than a hotel room. I actually spent way more time than planned just reading in the courtyard area – there’s this perfect spot where the afternoon light hits just right, and you can hear the subtle sounds of daily life happening around you without feeling like you’re in the middle of chaos. The 4-star rating feels about right, maybe even a bit conservative considering the attention to detail. That 8.8 guest rating makes total sense when you experience the place firsthand – it’s the kind of spot that makes you want to extend your stay by at least another night, which honestly happened to me. The check-in process is refreshingly straightforward, and the staff really knows their stuff about the neighborhood’s hidden gems. If you’re looking for that authentic Korean experience but don’t want to sacrifice comfort, this hanok strikes that balance perfectly.

Guest Reviews
This property was everything I could have hoped for and more as a solo traveler! It was walkable to cute, local spots. It was quiet and historical! The pictures are exactly what the place was and the host couldn’t have been more accommodating with recommendations and responses!
Location, beauty of property, bath
It was extremely nicely done with great attention to detail. Exactly like the photos. The enormous bath looked out onto the courtyard - it was fantastic. Gorgeous and in a very convenient spot to station, shops and coffee. Booked this for my partner’s 30th birthday and it lived up to the occasion.
