Stay Starlight
Your Seoul Retreat
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Stay Starlight, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name sounds a bit dreamy, maybe even a little too good to be true, you know? But after spending a few nights there, I can actually say this 4-star spot lives up to that perfect 10 rating it’s been getting.
What really struck me right away was how the staff just… gets it. I mean, check-in was smooth without being overly rehearsed, and the front desk person actually remembered my name the next morning (which honestly doesn’t happen that often anymore). The lobby has this warm, lived-in feeling – not sterile like some chain hotels, but not trying too hard to be boutique either. There’s this subtle starlight theme woven throughout the design that could’ve been cheesy, but they pulled it off with these really beautiful light fixtures that cast these gentle, constellation-like patterns on the walls during evening hours.
The rooms are where this place really shines though. Everything feels thoughtfully planned – like someone actually stayed in these rooms before deciding where to put the outlets and lighting. The beds are properly comfortable (I’m talking sink-right-in-but-still-supportive comfortable), and the blackout curtains actually work, which is rarer than it should be. I loved the little touches too – there’s this soft ambient lighting system that you can adjust for different times of day, and the bathroom amenities smell amazing without being overpowering. The shower pressure is fantastic, and honestly, after a long day of exploring, that matters more than fancy marble everywhere. What impressed me most was how quiet everything stays, even when the hotel seems busy. You can tell they invested in good soundproofing because I never heard footsteps or conversations from neighboring rooms. The housekeeping is spot-on too – they manage to keep everything pristine without making you feel like you can’t actually live in the space for a few days. I actually extended my stay by a night because I just wasn’t ready to leave yet, and they accommodated that without any hassle or upcharges. That kind of flexibility means a lot when you’re traveling and plans change.

Guest Reviews
The location and the decor. The amenities were wonderful. Traditional style but with modern amenities!
This place was perfect. The apartment itself was very comfortable and beautiful. The location was great, the neighborhood is really nice with plenty of coffee shops and restaurants close by, and a relatively short walk to take the bus. We didn’t meet anyone for check-in and check-out and yet the staff was very helpful - we requested an iron and a few minutes later they had left one by the door, and they also helped us schedule a taxi to the airport hours after we had checked out. Greatly recommended.
