Lotte Hotel Seoul Executive Tower Overview
You know what honestly surprised me about Lotte Hotel Seoul Executive Tower? It’s how they managed to make a massive luxury hotel feel intimate – and I mean, this place is seriously impressive when you first walk into that soaring lobby with all the marble and gold accents. I’ve stayed at plenty of five-star places, but there’s something about the way the staff here remembers your coffee order by day three that makes it feel more like a really fancy friend’s place (if your friend happened to own a skyscraper in Myeongdong, that is).
The Executive Tower part isn’t just marketing fluff either – you’re literally getting access to floors that regular Lotte Hotel guests can’t reach, which means the elevators move faster and the hallways are quieter. My room on the 35th floor had these floor-to-ceiling windows that looked out over Seoul‘s sprawling cityscape, and honestly, watching the city wake up with a cup of their ridiculously good room service coffee became my daily ritual. The beds are that perfect firm-but-soft combination that makes you want to cancel all your plans, and the bathroom – well, let’s just say the soaking tub with city views might be dangerous for people who already struggle with punctuality. One small thing though: the air conditioning can be a bit aggressive, so pack a light sweater even in summer.
What I really appreciate is how they handle the location without making you feel trapped in tourist central. Yes, you’re right in the heart of Myeongdong with all the shopping and street food literally at your doorstep, but the hotel’s entrance is positioned so you can slip in and out without fighting through the crowds of people taking selfies with shopping bags. The concierge team actually knows the area – like, really knows it – so when I asked about finding good Korean barbecue that wasn’t just for tourists, they sent me to this incredible little place about a ten-minute walk away that I never would have found on my own. And here’s something practical that matters: their parking situation is actually decent for Seoul standards, though you’ll pay for it. The whole experience just feels effortless in that way that only happens when a place has figured out all the little details that can make or break a trip. It’s expensive, sure, but when you’re dealing with jet lag and trying to navigate a new city, having a home base this solid makes everything else easier.
Exploring Seoul offers visitors an unforgettable journey through South Korea’s dynamic capital, from its historic Joseon palaces to its futuristic districts and world-renowned Korean entertainment culture.
