Lake Tourist Hotel
Your Seoul Retreat
First Impressions
Walking into Lake Tourist Hotel, you immediately sense this isn’t trying to be something it’s not — and honestly, that’s refreshing. This three-star property sits right on Seokchonhosu-ro in Songpa-gu, and while the lobby might not have marble floors or crystal chandeliers, it has something better: genuine warmth and that rare feeling that someone actually cares about your stay. The staff greets you with real smiles, not the practiced kind, and you can tell right away this place runs on hospitality rather than flashy amenities.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re literally steps from Seokchon Lake, which means morning walks with actual scenery instead of traffic. Couples seem to get this (they rate the location 8.9, and I can see why), because there’s something romantic about having a peaceful lake right outside your door in a city like Seoul. You’re in Songpa-gu, so Lotte World Tower is practically next door, and getting to Gangnam or other parts of the city is straightforward. The free private parking is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving — finding parking in Seoul can be a nightmare, so having your own guaranteed spot removes one major headache.
The Rooms
The rooms at Lake Tourist Hotel won’t win any design awards, but they’re clean, comfortable, and — here’s the key — they actually function well. I mean, the air conditioning works properly, the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the beds are genuinely comfortable, not just decent for the price. The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, with good water pressure (you’d be surprised how often hotels mess this up). Some rooms have lake views, and if you can snag one of those, do it — waking up to water instead of concrete makes a real difference in how your day starts.
Neighborhood Feel
What strikes me about staying here is how it puts you in an actual Seoul neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble. You’ll find local restaurants within walking distance where the menus might not be in English, but the food is authentic and reasonably priced. There’s a convenience store practically across the street, and the area has that lived-in feeling where you see families and office workers going about their daily routines. It’s particularly nice in the evening when locals come out for walks around the lake — you get to see a side of Seoul that many visitors miss entirely.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
The 8.4 rating tells the real story here — this hotel consistently delivers on its promises without overpromising in the first place. Recent guests rated the location 9.1, and after spending time here, I understand why. It’s not about being in the absolute center of everything; it’s about being somewhere that feels both accessible and peaceful. The staff remembers returning guests, the practical details (like that parking situation) actually work, and you leave feeling like you discovered something rather than just stayed somewhere. For travelers who want a genuine Seoul experience without the premium price tag, Lake Tourist Hotel hits that sweet spot perfectly.

Guest Reviews
It was in a fantastic place, where you could see a wonderful view. It was so comfortable and the staff were fantastic, and we want to go again next year.
The only problem is there was no English channels to whatch TV and need a couple of wardrobes, apart from that, Fantastic xx
Charming staff, a generously sized room, and a bar with panoramic views. Will definitely stay again.
Location, room size.

The location is good, nearby Lotte World Mall. There's plenty of shops around. Nearby Jamsil Station too.

Great location and view of Lotte World.
It made our first couple of days in the city relaxing.
Convenient , clean
It was very close to a subway station, the mall and even Lotte world. It all felt really luxurious with even separate slippers for the room and the bathroom. Staff is really friendly!
