Korean Traditional terrace House Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Korean Traditional terrace House? I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place, but this little gem completely changed my perspective on what traditional Korean hospitality actually feels like. The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense of calm that washes over you – maybe it’s the warm wood floors that creak just slightly under your feet, or the way the hanok-style architecture frames everything perfectly without trying too hard.
The terrace situation is legitimately impressive, and I mean that. Most places throw around words like “terrace” for what amounts to a tiny balcony, but here you’ve got this sprawling outdoor space where you can actually spread out with your morning coffee and watch the neighborhood come alive. The ondol heating system works beautifully too – I stayed during a chilly October and my room stayed consistently warm without that dry, artificial feeling you get from regular hotel heating. What really struck me was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about your experience rather than just going through the motions. The ajumma at the front desk (honestly, she reminded me of everyone’s favorite Korean grandmother) gave me restaurant recommendations that were spot-on, including this incredible galbi place about ten minutes away that I never would have found otherwise.
Now, I’ll be real with you – this isn’t going to be your ultra-modern, amenity-packed experience. The WiFi can be a bit spotty in some corners, and if you’re someone who needs a gym or room service, you might want to look elsewhere. But that 8.7 rating makes complete sense once you spend a night here. There’s something authentically Korean about the whole experience that you just can’t manufacture – from the way your room is arranged around low tables and floor cushions, to the subtle sounds of traditional music drifting through the common areas in the evenings. The location works really well too, though you’ll probably want to grab a taxi for longer trips since it’s more of a residential feel than a touristy hub. I actually preferred that though – it felt like staying in someone’s beautifully maintained family home rather than just another cookie-cutter hotel room.
Best hotels in Seoul range from luxurious properties in the upscale Gangnam district to boutique hotels with stunning views of Namsan Tower and the Han River.

The unit is near to Gyeongbokgung, walking distance to Jongno 3 district which there are many street food, cafe and korea souvenir. Swift communication with the owner. Inside have fridge, washing & drying machine. 2 large bed, 2 washroom so no need to q long for toilet. The design and decor of the unit also very traditional, basically we feel rich when staying in the house.

Anderson from Brazil (9/10)
