Juin – Foreigner only
Your Seoul Retreat
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Juin – Foreigner only, the name threw me off a bit. You know what though? Sometimes the places with the most straightforward names end up being exactly what you need, and this little 3-star gem proved that point perfectly.
What struck me right away was how this place just… gets it. The staff clearly understand what international travelers are looking for, which makes sense given their specific focus. I mean, there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that’s designed from the ground up for people who might be dealing with jet lag, language barriers, or just need someone who speaks English when you’re trying to figure out where the nearest convenience store is. The front desk team was incredibly patient with my terrible attempts at basic phrases, and honestly, their local recommendations were spot-on – they pointed me toward this amazing little street food area that I never would have found otherwise.
The rooms are clean and comfortable without trying to be fancy, which I actually appreciated. Sometimes you don’t need marble everything; you just need a place that works. The beds are surprisingly good quality for a 3-star – I slept better there than at some pricier places I’ve stayed. What really impressed me was the attention to practical details that matter when you’re traveling. Plenty of outlets (including the right types), decent wifi throughout, and – this might sound small but it’s huge – they actually have proper blackout curtains. You know how some hotels have those flimsy things that let in every streetlight? Not here. The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, with water pressure that doesn’t make you question your life choices.
The common areas have this relaxed, international hostel vibe but with more privacy since you’re not sharing rooms. I ended up chatting with travelers from maybe six different countries just hanging out in the lobby area one evening. There’s something about the atmosphere that just encourages that kind of interaction – maybe it’s because everyone’s in the same boat, figuring out a new place together. The location puts you within walking distance of several transit options, which matters when you’re trying to explore without constantly calling taxis. Sure, it’s not in the absolute center of everything, but that actually worked in my favor because the neighborhood felt more authentic and way less touristy. Plus, the area gets genuinely quiet at night, which is gold when you’re trying to recover from travel fatigue. That 9.5 rating honestly doesn’t surprise me – this place knows exactly what it is and delivers on that promise without any pretense.

The location is perfect, right near a metro stop and a large shopping centre. It is very well maintained and the hosts are incredibly helpful. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.
The accomodation was clean, nicely decorated, very well equipped. We were greeted very warmly when we arrived. The host responded quickly to emails and offered help many times. I also appreciated the apartment manual.
Everything about our stay was perfect. Such attention to detail in both the place and communication between us and the hosts. I can't recommend this little apartment more. We had a perfect stay.
Near Guro Metro Station, a mall, restaurants, convenience stores and two big supermarkets (one of them a dicount one). The host is very friendly and always asks if we have any requests or problems.
Very cozy and pleasant accommodation.
Cozy and good location
Excellent place owned by warm hearted host.
5-7 min walking distance from Guro station, less than 1 min from the convenient store.
Easy to find.
Feel safe and cozy.
Truly had a wonderful time.
The location is great. Near convenience stores and restuarants and the sky dome. Can't beat where it is located. The space is tight but clean and works out well. A kitchen was available too if you wanted to use it.
