Luxury hanok with private foot bathtub – SN10
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what caught me off guard about Luxury hanok with private foot bathtub – SN10? I mean, the name sounds a bit clinical for what’s actually a really thoughtful take on traditional Korean architecture. When I first walked through the wooden gates, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect – but there’s something about stepping into a genuine hanok that just makes you slow down and breathe differently.
The whole place feels like someone’s grandmother’s house, if grandmother happened to have impeccable taste and a thing for heated floors. The ondol system works beautifully here – I’m talking about that traditional underfloor heating that keeps your feet warm even on the coldest nights. What really got me though was that private foot bathtub they mention in the name. It’s not some gimmicky add-on; it’s actually built into the bathroom in this really natural way, and after walking around all day, soaking your feet while looking out at the little courtyard garden… well, it’s sort of perfect, honestly. The water pressure’s good too, which isn’t always a given in these older-style buildings.
I stayed here during shoulder season, and the mornings were especially nice – you wake up to light filtering through the hanji paper windows (they’re the traditional Korean paper screens), and there’s this quiet that you just don’t get in regular hotels. The wooden beams overhead and the heated stone floors create this contrast that’s both rustic and refined. Actually, the whole place strikes that balance really well. You’re getting the authentic hanok experience – low furniture, sliding doors, that characteristic layout with rooms opening onto a central courtyard – but with modern touches that actually make sense. The bathroom is fully updated, the bedding is quality stuff, and there’s proper lighting for reading at night. I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard trying to modernize everything; some places lose their soul that way. The 9.1 rating makes sense when you experience it – it’s not luxury in the marble-and-gold sense, but there’s a thoughtfulness to every detail that feels more valuable than flashy amenities. Plus, the check-in process was smooth, and they actually seem to care about maintaining the traditional elements properly. The wooden floors creak just enough to feel authentic without being annoying, if that makes sense.

Guest Reviews
Location was easy to location as it’s near the subway station. The house was beautiful and modern, exactly what I wanted. It made my stay so special. They provide for everything which was so great as I was able to do laundry (may be hard to use if you don’t understand Korean)
Very nicely designed Hanok! Great location, and very quiet. Everything we needed was available.
Really nice hanok in the perfect location to explore the area.
The area is very busy with tourists and locals, but when you are inside, you don't hear anything and you can enjoy your time there. Everything was as expected [clean, comfortable, etc.]
Loved the foot bathtub.
