Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Hotel Vert, I wasn’t expecting much from a 4-star place. You know how some hotels can feel cookie-cutter? This one doesn’t. There’s something refreshingly unpretentious about it that caught me off guard. The lobby has this understated elegance – not trying too hard to impress, but you can tell someone put thought into the design choices. The staff actually seemed to care about what they were doing, which is rarer than it should be these days.

What really won me over was how the place just… works. I mean, everything functions the way it’s supposed to, but there are these little touches that show attention to detail. The rooms are genuinely comfortable – and I’m picky about mattresses, trust me. The lighting is actually usable (you can read without squinting), and honestly, the shower pressure was better than what I have at home. The housekeeping team clearly takes pride in their work too. I stayed for four nights and never had that awkward moment where you’re wondering if they forgot about your room. One thing that impressed me was how quiet it stayed, even when the place seemed pretty full – good soundproofing or considerate guests, either way it worked out.

You know what sealed the deal for me? The breakfast situation. Nothing fancy, but they clearly source decent ingredients and don’t just phone it in with the standard hotel buffet sadness. Plus, the coffee was actually good – which sounds like a low bar, but you’d be surprised how many places mess that up. The whole operation just feels well-managed without being stuffy about it. With an 8.7 rating, they’re obviously doing something right, and after staying there I get why people keep coming back. It’s the kind of place where you don’t spend your time fighting with key cards or dealing with weird quirks – you just settle in and enjoy your trip. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  Great location in the middle of Myeongdong and despite that it was very quiet and peacefull. Lovely staff. Water dispenser on 10f, 5f and 3f, very comfortable beds, clean and modern. Spacious bathroom. Headrest panel with charging sockets 😀

  “About Bagel” was on the bottom floor of the hotel. They had fabulous bagels etc…
  The location couldn’t have been better. I went out when my husband was asleep and I felt safe & happy to be out alone.

  Linens were changed once upon our request (they are also bed bugs free!)

  Very good located in the vivid Myeong Dong quarter. Big bed, room sice is enough, big shower and a small kitchen. Nearby a lot of shops, supermarket and metro!

  Great location, close to everything. Loved having a small kitchen in the room. Giant bed, spacious bathroom, even a small gym we used each morning and laundry (5,000 change available at front desk and laundry detergent too). Easy to find, easy to check in. I will stay here again when I return to Seoul some day!
