The subway station is maybe a seven-minute walk – I timed it because I’m weird like that – and there’s this little convenience store practically next door that became my best friend during late-night snack runs. The staff there started recognizing me by day three, which honestly made me feel more at home than any fancy concierge service ever has.

What struck me most was how the hotel manages to feel both efficient and personal. The rooms aren’t huge – this is Seoul, after all, space is premium – but they’re designed smart. Everything has its place, and the bed was actually comfortable, which I wasn’t expecting given the 6.5 rating I’d seen online. Sometimes those ratings don’t tell the whole story, you know? The bathroom was compact but had good water pressure, and the Wi-Fi worked without me having to call the front desk every few hours like at some places I could mention. There’s this subtle attention to detail throughout – like how the curtains actually block out light (a miracle in budget hotels) and the AC doesn’t sound like a jet engine. The designers clearly understood that business travelers and tourists alike need the basics done really well, even if you’re not getting marble everything and a rooftop infinity pool. I’d definitely stay here again, especially considering what you get for the price point in this neighborhood.
