Hotel Skypark Myeongdong 3
Your Seoul Retreat
When I first stumbled upon Hotel Skypark Myeongdong 3, I’ll be honest – I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place in this part of Seoul. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots surprise you the most. The lobby’s got this clean, minimalist thing going on that feels distinctly Korean, and the staff actually seemed genuinely happy to see guests rather than just going through the motions. I mean, the building itself isn’t going to win any architecture awards, but there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about it that I found oddly charming.
What really won me over was how the hotel sits right in the thick of Seoul’s most energetic shopping district without feeling completely overwhelmed by the chaos. You step outside and you’re immediately surrounded by street food vendors – honestly, the smell of hotteok and tteokbokki drifting up to some of the lower floor rooms is either going to make you incredibly hungry or drive you slightly crazy, depending on your relationship with Korean street snacks. The location means you’re walking distance from Myeongdong Cathedral (which is actually a nice quiet escape when the shopping crowds get too intense) and all those skincare shops that tourists go wild for. I spent way too much money at the Olive Young that’s practically next door.
The rooms are smaller than what Americans might expect, but that’s pretty standard for Seoul – they’re efficiently designed and surprisingly quiet considering you’re in the middle of one of the busiest neighborhoods in the city. The bathrooms have those rainfall showerheads that Koreans seem to love, and the beds are firmer than most Western hotels but comfortable once you adjust. What I really appreciated was how clean everything felt – not just surface clean, but that deep, meticulous Korean attention to cleanliness that you notice in the details. The Wi-Fi is solid (crucial when you need to translate menus or navigate the subway), and they’ve got those universal outlets that actually work with whatever charger you’ve brought. Check-in was smooth, though the front desk English varies depending on who’s working – but honestly, a little Google Translate never hurt anyone, and the effort to communicate always felt genuine. With an 8.2 rating, it’s clear I’m not the only one who found this place to be a solid choice that punches above its weight class.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Seoul through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best districts for experiencing the city’s blend of tradition and innovation.

Guest Reviews
We booked for 2 quadruple rooms. The location is very accessible. The staff are accommodating. Mr. Shin helped us and let us checked in at least one room early. He also kept our luggages as our flight was late in the evening. The rooms are pretty clean.
