Hotel Peyto Samseong
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Peyto Samseong? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not – and honestly, that’s refreshing in a city like Seoul where every hotel seems to be competing for the most Instagram-worthy lobby. This is a solid 3-star spot that actually delivers on what matters most: clean rooms, decent amenities, and a location that puts you right in the heart of Gangnam’s business district without the crazy price tag of the fancier places.
I’ll be straight with you – the Samseong area isn’t exactly where tourists usually end up, but that’s actually part of its charm. You’re surrounded by office buildings and local restaurants that cater to Korean businesspeople, which means you get to experience authentic Seoul dining without the tourist markup. The COEX Mall is literally a short walk away (maybe 5 minutes if you’re not rushing), and you’ve got the Trade Center and World Trade Center Seoul practically on your doorstep. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets in the evenings – once the office crowd heads home, you’re left with this surprisingly peaceful neighborhood that still has plenty of convenience stores and late-night eateries if you need them.
The hotel itself has that clean, minimalist Korean style that’s become pretty standard, but they do it well. My room was compact but thoughtfully laid out – everything had its place, and the bed was actually comfortable, which isn’t always a given at this price point. The staff speaks decent English, though don’t expect long conversations, and check-in was smooth enough. With an 8.1 rating, it’s clearly hitting the mark for most guests, and I can see why. It’s not going to wow you with fancy extras, but it covers all the basics competently. The shower had good water pressure (always a relief), the Wi-Fi worked throughout the building, and the air conditioning kept up with Seoul’s sticky summers. If you’re in town for business or just want a reliable base for exploring the southern parts of the city, this place makes a lot of sense – especially when you factor in how well-connected Samseong station is to the rest of Seoul’s subway network.

Guest Reviews
Simple but comfortable and clean hotel. great location, in front of the coex. easy transport (even bus to and from the airport) and a good number of restaurants (in addition to those in the mall). Extremely friendly staff, even with the language barrier. Very good. If I return to Seoul, I will stay again.
Perfect location and the receptionists are very professional and helpful.
The location was great. The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean

Location and convenience
It is close to the Coex and business area.
Good value for money.
Clean enough.
Location, room & was very clean
Excellent location next to coex although my co Terence was through the north entrance. The Hyundai department store was directly opposite. The hotel was where all the eateries and massage shops were. Loads of food and shopping options with the subway station near by. Didn’t get breakfast here. But many morning options below the intercontinental by using the underground entrance outside.
Convenience of the location. The provided gym was small but had a treadmill I used frequently. Housekeeping was extremely warm and accommodating.
Well located, comfortable. Nice decor with tatami mats. Good to be at Nara before and after the day trippers.
