I spent way too much money at the Olive Young that’s practically next door – dangerous for anyone with a skincare addiction. The rooms themselves are on the smaller side, sure, but they’re thoughtfully designed with enough storage that I didn’t feel like I was living out of a suitcase. The beds are actually comfortable too, not those rock-hard mattresses you sometimes get in this price range. And here’s something I appreciated – the shower has proper water pressure, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong.

What I really love about this spot is how it puts you right in the middle of everything without the tourist trap feeling. You’re close enough to Namdaemun Market that you can wander over for some serious bargain hunting, but you can also easily hop on the subway to explore other neighborhoods. I mean, I’ve stayed at fancier places that left me feeling more disconnected from the city.   Location was the best. So easy to walk around to major sightseeing. Subway very close by too. Room was bigger than i thought it would be. Nice big window was a bonus. Rooftop space was super cool feature.

Ice and cold water on every floor, and common amenities like microwave, washer and dryer (3000won each) and a small gym.
