Hotel Manu Seoul
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what struck me first about Hotel Manu Seoul? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you with flashy lobbies or over-the-top amenities, but somehow gets everything just right. I mean, sure, it’s a 3-star property, but honestly – I’ve stayed at plenty of higher-rated places that felt way more generic than this spot.
The thing about Seoul is that you can easily get lost in these massive, impersonal hotel chains, but Manu has this refreshingly intimate vibe that actually feels Korean. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making your stay comfortable, not just going through the motions. I remember the front desk person took time to mark up a subway map for me, pointing out which exits to use – that kind of local insight you just don’t get at the big chains. The rooms are clean and well-maintained (I was expecting maybe some wear and tear given the price point, but nope), and there’s this subtle attention to detail that surprised me. Like, they had these really good blackout curtains that actually worked, which if you’ve ever dealt with Seoul’s neon-bright nights, you’ll appreciate.
What really won me over, though, was the location situation. It’s not right in the thick of Myeongdong or Gangnam – which honestly works in its favor because you’re not dealing with constant tourist chaos, but you’re still connected to everything that matters. The neighborhood has this authentic local energy, with actual Seoul residents going about their daily lives, little family-run restaurants tucked into side streets, and that early morning ajumma energy at the nearby market that you just can’t find in the touristy areas. I actually found myself wandering around at night just soaking in how normal and lived-in everything felt. The subway access is solid too, though you might need to walk a few minutes – nothing dramatic, just factor it in if you’re hauling heavy luggage. Parking was surprisingly manageable for Seoul standards, and the area stays reasonably quiet after about 10 PM, which trust me, is not something you can count on everywhere in this city. That 8.1 rating makes total sense to me – it’s the kind of place where everything works like it should, the price feels fair, and you leave thinking you’d actually stay there again instead of just checking it off your list.

Guest Reviews
Easy access to shops and close to train and subway stations.
The room is clean
(1) The location of the hotel is strategic; (2) The room is clean.
Location is good for walking, just a few minutes from Seoul Station and other interests and restaurants.
The hotel was very close to the Seoul station so it is easy to reach by public transportation even with a big suitcase. There was a convenience store near the hotel and this was helpful, too.
just next to Seoul station
Near the station and main subway lines. Clean
Perfect location
Location, location, location. It's highly recommended if you are taking AREX express train from the airport and you don't need to transfer to subway with your luggages. It's also near the KTX station if you are visiting other cities like Busan. The room is small but comfortable. Bathroom is spacious and water pressure is good!
Location was good. Room was clean. They were able to reserve a taxi for me for a 6:45 am pick up. Hotel also held our luggage for a couple of days.
