The neighborhood has this authentic local energy, with actual Seoul residents going about their daily lives, little family-run restaurants tucked into side streets, and that early morning ajumma energy at the nearby market that you just can’t find in the touristy areas. I actually found myself wandering around at night just soaking in how normal and lived-in everything felt. The subway access is solid too, though you might need to walk a few minutes – nothing dramatic, just factor it in if you’re hauling heavy luggage. Parking was surprisingly manageable for Seoul standards, and the area stays reasonably quiet after about 10 PM, which trust me, is not something you can count on everywhere in this city. That 8.1 rating makes total sense to me – it’s the kind of place where everything works like it should, the price feels fair, and you leave thinking you’d actually stay there again instead of just checking it off your list.
