Hotel DM
Your Seoul Retreat
First Impressions
Walking up to Hotel DM on a quiet side street in Jongno-gu, you might almost miss it — and that’s actually part of its charm. This three-star property sits tucked away on Nangye-ro 29-gil, which honestly feels like discovering a local secret rather than checking into a typical tourist hotel. The entrance is understated, but once you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone really thought about making travelers feel comfortable without all the fuss.
Location That Actually Makes Sense
Here’s what I love about staying in this part of Seoul — you’re genuinely in a neighborhood where locals live and work, not some sterile hotel district. Jongno-gu puts you within walking distance of Bukchon Hanok Village and Insadong, but you know what’s even better? The subway connections here are fantastic, so you can reach Myeongdong or Gangnam without the hassle of navigating from some far-flung location. Couples seem to get this — they’ve rated the location 8.8, and I can see why when you’re exploring together on foot.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — you can tell they’ve actually considered how people use hotel spaces. Everything feels clean and modern without being cold, and honestly, the bed was more comfortable than I expected for a mid-range place. The windows face the quieter side of the building, so you get decent sleep even though you’re right in the city. There’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped, which matters when you’re staying more than just one night.
Practical Perks
Two things that made my stay smoother: they have parking right at the hotel, which is actually a big deal in Seoul if you’re driving, and the American-style breakfast hits the spot when you want something familiar before diving into Korean food adventures. The staff genuinely seems to care about helping guests figure out the neighborhood — I mean, they gave me directions to a local market that wasn’t in any guidebook I’d seen. Small touches like that make the difference between just sleeping somewhere and actually enjoying where you’re staying.
Why Guests Love It
With an 8.1 rating, Hotel DM clearly does something right, and I think it comes down to getting the basics perfect rather than trying to be flashy. You’re paying for a solid, comfortable stay in a great part of Seoul where you can walk to major sights but still feel like you’re experiencing the real city. It’s the kind of place where you spend your time exploring rather than hanging around the hotel — which, let’s be honest, is probably what you want when you’re visiting Seoul anyway.

Guest Reviews
I want to give a credit to Ryan Lee, check-in counter staff. On the day we arrive, we left our handbag on the airport bus 6002. Our passports+cell phone+ cash are on inside! We rushed to the hotel and asked for help. Ryan immediately call the bus company and reached the bus driver. We got the bag back within an hour's time. Without Ryan's help, we will be in big big trouble!
Again, thanks Ryan Lee.

Location
Quiet
Great location near Dongdaemun with convenient traffic (metro lines 1 & 6; Incheon airport limousine 6002). Hotel is relatively new and clean. I had a semi-single room, small but for that a reasonable price. Breakfast is ok but not a must - better buy it just for a few mornings when staying several nights.
Less cost than others but this hotel has good bed, amenities, air conditioner, good house cleaning staff.
Spacious and clean room. Electronics were new.
Confortable, clean and near transports
Good location
Room are very clean, and bed is small but confortable.
The room is not big, but very clean and the bed was so comfortable. It is also located near a subway station, which is a big plus.
