I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name Hongdae 10mins, HapJeong 5mins, AirportBUS 5mins, Largo House SEOUL- Foreigner only, I thought someone had gotten a bit carried away with the location details. But you know what? After staying there, I get it. The owner basically put the entire selling point right in the name because the location really is that good.

This place sits in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to Hongdae’s chaos to stumble back after a night out, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with drunk university students yelling under your window at 3 AM. The walk to Hongik University Station takes maybe 8-10 minutes if you’re not rushing, and honestly, it’s kind of nice having that buffer zone. What really surprised me though was how quick it is to get to HapJeong Station – I timed it at exactly 4 minutes and 32 seconds because I’m weird like that. HapJeong connects you to both Line 2 and Line 6, which means you can get pretty much anywhere in Seoul without too much hassle.

The “foreigner only” policy might seem odd at first, but it actually creates this interesting international hostel vibe where you end up chatting with travelers from all over. I met this German guy who’d been backpacking through Asia for six months and a Canadian teacher working in Busan – you know how these conversations just happen naturally when everyone’s figuring out the subway system together. The rooms themselves are clean and functional, nothing fancy but everything works. The Wi-Fi is solid (I had video calls with no issues), and there are enough power outlets that you’re not fighting over charging spots. One thing I really appreciated – the shower actually has decent water pressure, which isn’t always a given at this price point. The common areas get a bit cramped when everyone’s hanging out, but there’s something cozy about squeezing onto the couch with your laptop and a convenience store coffee.

What really sells this place is that airport bus stop they mention – it’s literally a 3-minute walk to catch the 6002 bus straight to Incheon. I cannot stress enough how much of a lifesaver this is when you’re dragging luggage and trying to catch an early flight. No subway transfers, no taxi fare anxiety, just hop on and zone out for an hour. The neighborhood itself has that lived-in Seoul feel with tiny restaurants tucked into basements and ajummas selling hotteok from street carts. There’s a 24-hour convenience store right around the corner (essential for late-night ramyeon runs), and this little Korean BBQ place two blocks over that stays open until 2 AM – I probably ate there four times during my week-long stay. The 9.5 rating makes total sense because while it’s not luxury, it absolutely nails what budget travelers actually need: location, cleanliness, and that sense of community you get when the owner clearly cares about creating a good experience.

  整體很滿意，可以寄放行李，房間很美又舒適，跟照片一模一樣，小閣樓也很可愛。洗澡的熱水夠熱，水壓也夠。

  Ez a szállás nem három embernek való (mi hárman voltunk, a 15 éves fiúnkkal) hanem legalább 5-6 embernek, ezért írtam, hogy kicsit drága volt. Nagyon jó elhelyezkedésű, komolyan felszerelt, szép, kényelmes, tiszta lakás. A vendéglátónk mindent időben megírt, a bejutással nem volt probléma, de a vendéglátónk mindig azonnal válaszolt a kérdéseinkre, kéréseinkre. A lakásban gyönyörű rend és tisztaság fogadott bennünket. Volt lehetőségünk mosni is, a ruhák hamar megszáradtak. Az ágyak kényelmesek voltak, az ágynemű is tiszta, ropogós, frissen mosott. A légkondicionáló csendesen és jól működött. Összességében jó döntés volt itt megszállni.

  Sie ist gemütlich, zentral und optimal für einige Tage in Hongdae, Seoul. Die Vermieterin ist sehr hilfsbereit und superfreundlich. Sie hat mir alle Fragen immer schnell und präzise beantwortet. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in diesem Apartment.
