DW STAY HONGDAE
Your Seoul Retreat
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into DW STAY HONGDAE, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like another budget place in the heart of the party district. But you know what? This little 3-star gem actually surprised me in all the right ways. The lobby’s got this clean, minimalist vibe that immediately tells you they’re not trying too hard to be something they’re not, and the staff at check-in were genuinely helpful (not just going through the motions like you get at some places around here).
What really won me over was the location – I mean, you’re literally in the thick of everything that makes Seoul‘s nightlife scene so incredible. Step outside and you’re surrounded by those narrow streets packed with Korean BBQ joints, karaoke bars, and late-night food stalls that stay open until sunrise. The energy here is absolutely infectious, especially on weekend nights when the university students are out in full force. Now, fair warning – if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs because Hongdae doesn’t really do quiet, even on weeknights. But honestly, that’s part of the charm. I actually found myself staying up later than usual just soaking in the atmosphere from my window.
The rooms themselves are compact but smartly designed – everything you need is there without feeling cramped. The beds are surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about this stuff), and the bathrooms are spotless with decent water pressure, which you can’t always count on in this price range. What I really appreciated were the little touches that show they understand their guests – good WiFi that actually works, plenty of outlets for charging devices, and blackout curtains that really do block out the neon glow from the street signs below. The housekeeping team clearly takes pride in their work too. With an 8 out of 10 rating from other travelers, I’m definitely not the only one who walked away impressed. It’s not luxury by any stretch, but for exploring one of Seoul’s most vibrant neighborhoods without breaking the bank, DW STAY HONGDAE hits that sweet spot between comfort and authentic local experience that’s getting harder to find these days.
Apartments in Seoul provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Korean markets and experience daily life in modern residential neighborhoods.

Guest Reviews
Located in Yeonnam, there are several restaurants and convenience stores nearby. My favorite feature is the luggage elevator.
The location is ok, it is about 10 minutes from exit 3 of hongik univ, the room is spacious enough for us to put our 5 luggage on the ground. The room are upstairs but we didn’t have to carry our luggage because there is luggage elevator to bring the luggage upstairs.
Downstairs are coffee machine, laundry machine and water that you can consume and use at anytime.
It was worth the price for what you get.
