Handpicked Hotel & Collections
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what caught me off guard about Handpicked Hotel & Collections? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – it really does feel like someone went through dozens of properties and said “yeah, this one’s got character.” I mean, it’s a solid 3-star spot that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and honestly, that’s refreshing in a world of hotels that promise the moon and deliver basically a decent bed.
The whole vibe is sort of… curated, I guess? Like walking into someone’s well-traveled friend’s place where everything has a story but nothing’s too precious about it. The lobby has this lived-in elegance – not the sterile perfection you get at chain places, but actual personality in the furniture choices and artwork. Check-in was smooth (no weird upselling tactics, thank god), and the staff genuinely seemed to know their stuff about the local area. When I asked about dinner spots, the front desk guy didn’t just hand me a generic tourist map – he actually drew me a little route to this hole-in-the-wall place that ended up being incredible.
The rooms hit that sweet spot between comfortable and interesting. Mine had these quirky design touches that felt intentional rather than random – like the lighting actually worked for reading, and there was enough surface space for all my travel chaos. The bed was properly firm, which I always appreciate, and the bathroom had decent water pressure (you’d be surprised how often that’s a problem). It’s not luxury by any stretch, but everything works the way it should, and the whole place feels clean without that harsh chemical smell some hotels have. I will say the walls aren’t soundproof, so if you’re a light sleeper, pack earplugs – though honestly, the neighborhood energy kind of adds to the experience. There’s something nice about hearing a bit of real life happening around you rather than being sealed in some sterile bubble. The 7.5 rating feels spot-on – it’s the kind of place that does what it promises well, with enough personality to make your stay memorable without breaking the bank or overwhelming you with unnecessary bells and whistles.
To book hotel in Seoul during the vibrant cherry blossom season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts K-culture enthusiasts and modern travelers from around the world.

Guest Reviews
Very cool hotel. It was a last minute for us to stay warm during some very cold days in Seoul and this gem did just that. Heated seats on toilet and heat in the room. Perfect. The breakfast was a plus and sth new we never would try to order ourselves. Great experience.
I enjoyed my stay there. I worker helped me with my luggage as soon as I got on the premises. The staff was friendly and helpful. Even as a foreigner there was no communication barrier. I tried the Spanish latte which was good and next time I stay I want to try the restaurant on the premises as well.
Two free Americano coupons provided, and the coffee was good. Parking staff is quite helpful.
Clean and very comfortable rooms.
Helpful staff, airport shuttle right in front of the hotel.
Detail, Design and size of the room. All above the expectation
Breakfast was good. The environmental soap was great, nice idea. Not far away from the subway station, good location. Good english at the reception.
The staff Beatrice Lim is very professional, helpful and caring. She serves me hot honey lemon when I was running nose instead of just a plain warm water
their staffs are very kind. they helped me patiently for all my questions.
The room size was quite big compared to other hotels in Seoul.
