I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Greenery Terrace House, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from a 3-star place. You know how sometimes you book something based on the name alone and just hope for the best? Well, this turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that reminds you why mid-range places can actually be gems if you know what you’re looking for.

The thing that struck me right away was how the staff genuinely seemed to care about getting things right, even though this isn’t some fancy chain with corporate training manuals. I mean, sure, the lobby isn’t going to win any design awards, and there’s definitely that slightly worn-around-the-edges feeling you get with older properties – but honestly, there’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on the basics instead of trying to impress you with marble everything. The rooms are clean and actually comfortable (and I say this as someone who’s pretty picky about mattresses), though you might want to pack a phone charger with a longer cord since the outlets aren’t always where you’d expect them to be. The terrace area – which I’m guessing is where the name comes from – actually lives up to its billing. It’s nothing fancy, just some decent outdoor space where you can sit with your morning coffee without feeling like you’re in some sterile hotel bubble.

What really won me over, though, was the attention to those little details that business travelers and families actually care about. The WiFi works consistently throughout the building (trust me, I tested it), there’s decent water pressure in the showers, and the walls are thick enough that you’re not hearing every conversation in the hallway. I stayed during what seemed like a busy period, and while the place had that lived-in feeling of a hotel that actually gets used, it never felt chaotic or poorly managed. The housekeeping is thorough – my room was always spotless when I came back, and they’re pretty good about restocking towels and toiletries without you having to ask. Look, with a 6.5 rating, you’re not walking into perfection, and I think some of that comes down to the fact that this place doesn’t try to oversell itself. There were a few minor maintenance issues (the bathroom door handle was a bit loose, nothing major), and the breakfast setup is pretty basic if that’s something you care about. But honestly? Sometimes you just want a place that does the fundamentals well without any pretense, and that’s exactly what you get here.
