I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Fraser Place Namdaemun Seoul, I wasn’t expecting much from another serviced apartment complex. But you know what? This place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked right in the heart of Seoul, and I mean properly in the thick of things – you can literally hear the energy of Namdaemun Market buzzing just outside your window (though don’t worry, it’s not obnoxiously loud at night).

What really got me was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between feeling like a proper hotel and having the space of an actual apartment. The units are surprisingly spacious – I’m talking full kitchens with decent-sized fridges, not those tiny hotel bar fridges that fit maybe two bottles of soju. The living areas actually feel lived-in rather than sterile, which is rare for a 4-star place. I spent a good chunk of my mornings just sitting by the window with coffee, watching the controlled chaos of morning commuters and street vendors setting up below. The staff here genuinely seem to care too – they remembered my name after the second day, which honestly doesn’t happen often in Seoul’s bigger hotels.

Here’s the thing that really sold me on this place: the location is absolutely unbeatable if you want to experience real Seoul life. You’re a five-minute walk from Namdaemun Market (perfect for those random late-night snack runs), and Myeongdong is close enough that you’ll probably end up there without even planning to. The subway connections are solid – Hoehyeon Station is right there, so getting anywhere in the city is pretty straightforward. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra two nights because I got so comfortable with the routine of grabbing fresh hotteok from the market vendors in the morning and having a proper kitchen to cook dinner when I got tired of restaurant hopping. The building itself feels secure without being stuffy, and the check-in process was refreshingly smooth – no lengthy forms or pushy upselling. It’s got that reliable, no-nonsense vibe that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere locals would actually choose, not just another tourist trap with inflated prices and fancy lobby marble.

  I was able to do an early check in free of charge. It was a good surprise since I was really tired!
  The location is really convenient, easy access to subway, bus, restaurants and many tourist attractions reachable on foot:)

  The hotel is in a good location. Also for getting into taxi and uber. Some areas that are interesting for tourists can be reached on foot. The staff is friendly. The price is appropriate for the hotel and location. I also recommend visiting the roof top bar with a nice view.

  The location of the hotel which is near bus and subway lines. I loved the washer/dryer combo ensuite and the kitchen perfect for cooking simple meals.
  
  What I appreciated was the first part of my hotel stay was with my mother and after we checked out I was able to check into my new room immediately at 11 am which worked out since my mother and I were able to relax in my new room before her flight later in the evening.

  Location is just down the street from the City Hall which makes the location easily identifiable. Access to the underground is just down the street, and the Palace is around the corner. The location also has so many restaurants immediately adjacent and there is a market right across the street. If you are into cameras, the market has the best camera shops I have seen. Our room was so quiet and comfortable and we were so happy with it. The staff were very willing to help and were always at the front desk.

  Location is very good, 10 min walking from Myeongdong and 20 min walking to Seoul station. A metro station is also nearby. The only potential downside would be that is really close to the city hall where protests usually takes place however, while we were there, there was a protest going on and it was very calm and didn't bother us at all, so for us it wasn't a problem.

  This is a very good hotel near central station of Seoul. The rooms are very clean. English speaking staff is very nice. Even though breakfast was not included in my room rate I used a couple times the breakfast option on the First Floor. Good solid breakfast with western options. Actually they have all you need. Even international airline crews are using this hotel. So its quite during the night. I would stay there again any time. Thanks for hosting me Fraser Place Namdaemun Hotel 🙂
