Ramada Hotel and Suites Seoul Namdaemun
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what caught me off guard about the Ramada Hotel and Suites Seoul Namdaemun? It’s how perfectly positioned it is right in the thick of things without feeling chaotic. I mean, you step out the front door and you’re basically breathing distance from Namdaemun Market – honestly, the energy from that place sort of seeps into the hotel in the best possible way. The lobby has this bustling-but-controlled vibe that makes you feel like you’re already part of Seoul‘s rhythm before you’ve even dropped your bags.
The rooms themselves are exactly what you’d expect from a solid 4-star spot – clean, comfortable, with that slightly generic international hotel feel that’s actually kind of comforting when you’re jetlagged. What I really appreciated though was the soundproofing, because let’s be real, this area gets lively. The staff genuinely seems to know the neighborhood inside and out, which is huge when you’re trying to navigate Seoul for the first time. They’ll point you toward the best food stalls at the market (skip the touristy ones near the main entrance, by the way) and actually give you realistic walking times to places like Myeongdong or Seoul Station. The breakfast spread is decent – not spectacular, but it’ll fuel you up for a day of exploring without breaking the bank on fancy hotel dining.
Here’s the thing about staying here – you’re getting that sweet spot between authentic Seoul energy and tourist-friendly convenience. The location means you can walk to some seriously good late-night Korean BBQ spots that most visitors never find, but you’re also close enough to major transit lines that getting anywhere in the city is pretty straightforward. I noticed the place fills up with a mix of business travelers and tourists, which creates this nice international buzz in the common areas. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, and the 7.1 rating feels about right – it’s dependable rather than dazzling. But honestly? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring one of Asia’s most dynamic cities rather than lounging around your hotel room.

Guest Reviews
Ramada was our savior the “last day” of our trip in Seoul. We lost/stolen our passport in Mygliore Hote in Myeongdong and their quality of services and rooms are not quite near of the Ramada. Here we find our calm place to stay in middle of the caos we were facing. They provide us with all the information we needed, near laundry to wash our clothe, near station to get ID photos and even prints and copies of our documents that we needed for the US Embassy diligences. We are very greatful with the staff, they speak a perfect English and were very kind (as almost all of the Korean we met). Very centric and clean place. We recommend 100%. If you can book directly with them, it will be better prices (booking app charge us double) and with them directly were more affordable. If you are thinking about it, don’t. Is very near to Seoul station (5 minutes walk) and like 20 minutes walk to Myeongdong.
Very clean room and house keeping did an excellent job every day. Big thank you to the housekeeping team😀Hotel about 15 minute walk to Seoul Station and there is a 24/7 convenience store across the road.
Good breakfast, big room, good location, lots of convenience stores and restaurants nearby.
Theres a convenience store opposite, and restaurants around the hotel. Also a 24 hour shop serving noodles and rice.
The hotel is very accessible to Seoul Station. The Staff were generally friendly. There is a good coffee shop in the lobby and a convenience store (CU) across the street.
Very nice location
Great location, very friendly staff who spoke great English and lovely big, clean room with nice facilities (although the shower was a bit temperamental!). They let us leave our bags for a few days after we stayed.
Breakfast not bad and the location also is good.
The hotel staff were welcoming and flexible. The hotel is a pleasant 15- to 20-minute stroll from the heart of the Seoul city. Conveniently, there are three 24/7 grocery stores in the adjacent buildings, just 1-2 minute walk away. This proximity offers reassurance for late cravings at odd hours, whether for noodles or croissants. Additionally, right across the road from the hotel, there's a bank equipped with an ATM machine. Finally, the neighborhood is very safe and nether me nor my family had any unpleasant experience at all.
