About this stay

Your Seoul Retreat

Look, I’ll be honest with you – Fill House isn’t going to win any luxury awards, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need. This 3-star spot has this unpretentious, almost homey vibe that grows on you, especially if you’re tired of sterile chain hotels that all look the same.

When I first walked in, my expectations were pretty modest (the 6.8 rating kind of tells you what you’re getting into), but you know what? The staff actually seemed to care, which counts for a lot these days. The lobby’s got this lived-in feel – not shabby, just… real. You’ll notice the furniture’s seen some use, but everything’s clean and functional. I mean, the Wi-Fi worked perfectly, the shower had decent pressure, and honestly, isn’t that what really matters when you’re just trying to get some rest?

What surprised me was how quiet it gets at night – I was expecting thin walls and hallway noise, but I slept pretty well. The rooms are straightforward, no fancy touches, but they’ve got the basics covered. The bed was more comfortable than I anticipated, and there’s actually enough storage space, which is something you don’t always find in budget-friendly places. The air conditioning works (crucial, depending on when you visit), and the blackout curtains do their job if you’re trying to sleep in. One thing though – if you’re on the ground floor, you might catch some street sounds in the morning, but it’s nothing too disruptive. Parking was surprisingly easy to figure out, which saved me the usual headache of circling around looking for a spot.

Here’s the thing about Fill House – it knows what it is. The staff doesn’t pretend it’s the Ritz, but they make sure you’re taken care of. I chatted with the front desk guy during check-in, and he gave me some solid local recommendations that weren’t just the usual tourist traps. The cleaning crew clearly takes pride in their work, and you can tell management actually maintains the place instead of just letting it slide. Sure, the decor won’t blow you away, and you’re not getting room service or a concierge, but for the price point, it delivers exactly what it promises. If you’re looking for a no-nonsense place to crash that won’t drain your travel budget, this actually works pretty well. Just don’t expect miracles – expect a decent night’s sleep and friendly service, which honestly feels like a win these days.

Hotels near me in Seoul offer convenient access to the city center, where guests can easily walk to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Myeongdong shopping district, and authentic Korean BBQ restaurants.
