The rooms are clean – properly clean, not just surface-level tidy – and the beds are actually comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night. The Wi-Fi works reliably (thank god), which isn’t always a given at this price point, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine taking off every few minutes. I appreciated the little touches too, like having enough electrical outlets near the bed and blackout curtains that actually block light. Small things, but you notice them when they’re missing elsewhere.

Here’s the thing that really sealed it for me – this place has earned a 9.1 rating, and after staying there, I get it. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does offer is done well. The common areas stay clean throughout the day, housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, and there’s this overall sense that the management actually gives a damn about guest experience. I’ve stayed at plenty of places that look fancier on paper but leave you feeling like just another transaction. Damda Stay feels different – more personal, I guess. The kind of place where you’d be comfortable extending your stay if plans changed, and where you wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends who prioritize substance over flash. Sure, it might not have every bell and whistle, but sometimes what you really want is a place that simply does the basics exceptionally well.
