Yongsan-gu has this perfect balance where you can walk to major attractions but still feel like you’re experiencing how locals actually live. The subway connections are fantastic (trust me, this matters when you’re hauling luggage), and there’s this great mix of traditional Korean spots and international food nearby. I mean, couples are rating the location a perfect 10, and after spending a few days here, I totally get why.

The Space Itself

The room — well, it’s more like having your own little Seoul hideaway. What really sold me was stepping out onto that rooftop area and seeing the city spread out below. It’s not some fancy penthouse view, but it’s real Seoul, you know? The space feels lived-in rather than sterile, which I actually prefer. There’s enough room to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped, and the setup works whether you’re traveling solo or with someone else.

Living Like a Local

One thing that surprised me was how the kitchen setup actually made me want to cook — something I rarely do when traveling. There’s a decent-sized fridge and enough counter space to prep some Korean ingredients I picked up at the local market. The whole place has this homey vibe that makes you want to slow down a bit instead of rushing from tourist spot to tourist spot. Plus, having your own space means you can come back in the afternoon for a proper rest without feeling awkward about hanging around a hotel lobby.

Look, this isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea — if you need a concierge and daily housekeeping, you’ll want to look elsewhere. But if you’re the type of traveler who appreciates authentic experiences over polished service, this place hits differently. The location score of 9.7 from recent guests isn’t just a number — it reflects how well-connected you’ll feel to actual Seoul life. I found myself walking to places I would have taken taxis to from other hotels, and honestly, those walks became some of my favorite parts of the trip.   We absolutely loved our stay in Seoul here! It was located in Yongsan which is a lovely area to explore with a bustling street right by the accommodation to walk around. It also has an amazing view of Namsan Tower from the rooftop – we loved just sitting outside and looking at the view! The accommodation was also very close to Itaewon and is walkable distance. Travelling to other areas such as Myeongdong, Gangnam and Seongsu was also very quick and easy! The home was clean and heated when we came making it super cozy when we arrived at night and we had everything we needed to have a great stay in Seoul. Our host Joe was also super super friendly and popped by to make sure we were comfortable and having fun during our trip. I absolutely recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Seoul as it made our trip to Seoul much more memorable being able to come back to a cozy home with a great view! I would definitely come and stay here again when I get the chance to come back to Seoul!

  Perfect location in a warm and lively area. Cafes, bars and shops just downstairs. The apartment is located on a large rooftop and the terrace overlooks the city and the mountains, the view is beautiful. The owner was adorable, available at the slightest question is very nice. He also speaks English. I even got a little starting gift. Everything was very clean and in perfect condition. Go ahead, I recommend without any hesitation! 😍

  オーナーの方がとても良くしてくださり、雪が降っていたのにも関わらず暖かく快適に過ごすことができました。またベランダからは南山タワーが見え、周りも静かで空気も良いです。韓国に行く際はまた泊まりたいなと思います！ありがとうございます。
