Comfortable as your home – JS1 Overview
You know what struck me first about Comfortable as your home – JS1? The name actually delivers on its promise, which honestly doesn’t happen that often with hotels these days. I mean, how many places claim to be “like home” and then hand you a keycard that stops working every twelve hours? But this little 3-star gem genuinely feels like crashing at a friend’s well-kept apartment – assuming your friend has really good taste and keeps fresh towels stocked.
The whole vibe here is refreshingly unpretentious. When I walked into my room, it wasn’t trying to wow me with marble everything or those weird modern art pieces that look like someone spilled paint on canvas. Instead, there’s this lived-in comfort that makes you want to kick off your shoes immediately and maybe order room service in your pajamas. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day (rare these days), and they’ve got this knack for anticipating what you need without being hovering or weird about it. I noticed they keep the lobby just busy enough to feel alive but never chaotic – there’s usually someone reading in one of those deep armchairs by the window, and the coffee station actually has decent beans, not that bitter hotel stuff that tastes like it was brewed in 2019.
What really sells this place for me is how they’ve nailed all those little details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The Wi-Fi doesn’t mysteriously cut out when you’re trying to video call home, the shower pressure is strong enough to wake you up in the morning, and – this might sound silly but it matters – the curtains actually block out light when you need to sleep. Plus, with that 9.6 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who thinks they’re doing something right here. The rooms have enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re playing Tetris with your suitcase, and there’s proper lighting for reading, which you’d think would be standard but somehow isn’t at a lot of places. It’s one of those hotels where you find yourself genuinely relaxed by day two, not counting down until checkout because everything feels slightly off or uncomfortable.
To book a hotel in Seoul during major cultural festivals, travelers need early planning as this dynamic capital draws visitors eager to experience its cutting-edge technology and rich traditional heritage.

I booked thinking it was near Hongdae which took over 30 mins by subway to get to. But still the home is located conveniently with many restaurants near by and not too far from the subway station. The host was super kind and took pride in his place. The home was cozy and comfortable. The home is clean and has everything you need provided. The beds were comfortable.

owner let we put our luggage in his house before we go to pyeongchang. he even help us to pick a luggage at metro station. We got request for late check out since we have a lot of luggage and need to send half of it to incheon first. then owner agreed with our request. Thank you mr kim for your help. we definitely will repeat again if we come to seoul.

Hazirah from Malaysia (10/10)
The house was clean, neat & tidy. It is comfortable for a family to stay. The owner Mr Kim is very nice, welcoming us with delicious cookies and coffee. Although our arrival day is rescheduled by the airline, he is very understanding and tolerant to us and shifts the day of stay accordingly without any extra charges. It is highly recommended for those who need a guesthouse to visit Seoul. The location is strategic and has a convenient store nearby. The nearest subway (Eungam) is 6-8 minutes in walking distance.

Excellent host. Very friendly spoke English well. The location was very close to the subway and bus line was right in front of apartment. Beautiful creek across the street. 24 7 market right on the corner. We had a family of 7 that slept very comfortably.
