CentralViewSuite Residence, Myeong-dong Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about CentralViewSuite Residence, Myeong-dong, I was a bit skeptical about another “suite” hotel in Seoul‘s busiest shopping district. But you know what? This place actually surprised me in the best way possible.
The thing about staying in Myeong-dong is that you’re literally in the heart of everything – and I mean everything. Step outside and you’re immediately hit with the energy of street food vendors calling out, the constant hum of shoppers, and honestly, it can feel overwhelming at first. But here’s what I love about this particular spot: somehow the CentralViewSuite manages to give you that prime location without making you feel like you’re sleeping inside a shopping mall. The soundproofing is actually decent (though let’s be real, you’ll still hear some street noise – it’s Myeong-dong, not a monastery), and the suites themselves feel more spacious than most Seoul accommodations. I mean, you can actually open your suitcase without having to put it on the bed, which is saying something.
What really won me over was the morning routine here. There’s something kind of magical about waking up, grabbing coffee from one of the dozen cafés within a two-minute walk, and watching the district come alive. The ajummas setting up their street food stalls, the early shoppers hunting for K-beauty deals – it’s like having a front-row seat to authentic Seoul life. And practically speaking, you’re maybe three minutes from Myeong-dong Station, which sounds obvious but trust me, those extra blocks matter when you’re hauling luggage or coming back late from exploring Hongdae. The staff here genuinely seems to get that most guests are either first-timers figuring out the subway system or repeat visitors who just want efficiency. Check-in was surprisingly smooth – no lengthy explanations about amenities I didn’t need, just keys and a quick rundown of the neighborhood highlights. The 4-star rating feels right; it’s not trying to be a luxury palace, but everything works properly and the beds are actually comfortable (firmer than Western hotels, but that’s pretty standard in Korea). With a 9.1 rating from other travelers, I’d say people appreciate what I did – it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. If you want to be in the thick of Seoul’s shopping and food scene but still have a quiet place to retreat to, this is honestly one of the better choices in the area.
Seoul hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in South Korea’s bustling capital, known for its innovative technology, K-pop culture, and historical palaces.

It was located in between 2 metro stations. There are a lot of convenience stores, cafes and restaurants nearby. Very convenient! The building has paid laundry service too which is very helpful. The room is complete of things you need for a long trip and it has so many storage. Plus points for the heated toilet seats with bidet.

The room got everything you need!Juliecious from Singapore (9/10)
We love the location of the accommodation, which was located near both Chungmuro and Euljiro stations. It's also about 10 mins walk away from Myeongdong. Love that there is a convenience store at level 1, which is accessible for us to get water, food, etc. The availability of washer, dryer and sneakers' washing machine was also great for us as we could travel home with clean laundry and shoes. The host was kind enough to allow us to include our 4 year old child even though the accomodation was by right only for 4 pax. We couldn't book 2 units as our kids were not old enough to stay in their own unit. We just had to pay additional for the inclusion for our 5th pax. The unit was well equipped with lots of cupboards and drawers for easy storage of our stuff.
