Boutique Hotel SB Yeouido
Your Seoul Retreat
When I first walked into Boutique Hotel SB Yeouido, I’ll be honest – it felt like one of those places that’s trying really hard to punch above its weight class. The lobby has this modern, minimalist vibe going on, but you can tell they’re working with a tighter budget than some of the flashier spots in the area. That said, there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about it that I actually grew to appreciate during my stay.
Seoul‘s Yeouido district is fascinating in this weird way – it’s basically the financial heart of the city, so you’ve got all these sleek office towers and the National Assembly building just down the street, but it can feel surprisingly quiet after business hours. The hotel sits right in the middle of all this, which means you’re perfectly positioned if you need to be in the area for work, but honestly, you might feel a bit isolated from the more vibrant neighborhoods if you’re here purely for tourism. I mean, Hangang Park is literally a five-minute walk away, and that river view at sunset is absolutely worth it – locals come here to picnic and cycle, so you get this nice slice of everyday Seoul life that tourists often miss.
The rooms are… well, they’re clean and functional, but don’t expect anything groundbreaking. Mine had this slightly odd layout where the bathroom felt cramped but the main room was actually quite spacious. The bed was comfortable enough, though the walls are a bit thin – I could hear conversations from the hallway pretty clearly. What I did appreciate was how quiet it gets at night since most of the surrounding buildings empty out after work hours. The staff tries hard to be helpful, though their English can be hit or miss depending on who’s at the front desk. There’s this one guy who works the evening shift who knows everything about the local restaurants and actually steered me toward this incredible Korean BBQ place tucked away in the basement of a nearby office building – the kind of spot you’d never find on your own. The hotel doesn’t have much in terms of amenities (no pool, basic gym), but honestly, for a 3-star place, they’re not trying to oversell what they can’t deliver. Sometimes that straightforward approach is refreshing, you know? If you’re looking for a decent base in Yeouido without paying premium prices, and you don’t mind being a subway ride away from the main tourist action, this place does the job just fine.
Best hotels in Seoul range from luxurious properties in the upscale Gangnam district to boutique hotels with stunning views of Namsan Tower and the Han River.

Guest Reviews
It was clean, fresh air, clean toilet and bathroom
Exremely Spacious room, location was great.
It was very reasonably priced. It's location was good for what we were doing.
Cozy Comfortable Convenient
The location is great
Great location, right by multiple subway lines. Room was clean and staff very friendly
Took us 48 hours to orient the relative position of hotel and 2 nearby metros, but turns out to be very well located. Nearby access to food, shopping, markets etc. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Really appreciate 24h reception.
The room had enough space to move around. I really liked that the bathroom and toilet were separate and that I had a small fridge.
The TV was also good because you could stream anything to thE TV through Chrome Cast
Easy check in and location. Looked like the photos!
