Asa No Ringo
Your Seoul Retreat
First Impressions
Walking into Asa No Ringo, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical hotel experience. This charming three-star property in Seoul‘s Yongsan-gu district feels more like staying at a friend’s thoughtfully designed apartment than a standard accommodation. The intimate scale — it’s actually just one unit in a residential building — creates an atmosphere that’s both cozy and surprisingly sophisticated. This unique property offers travelers an authentic Korean experience while maintaining modern comfort standards.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, the location is what makes this place shine. You’re right on Noksapyeong-daero, which puts you within walking distance of Itaewon’s international dining scene and just a short subway ride from major Seoul attractions. What I love about this area is how it feels authentically Korean while still being foreigner-friendly — you know what I mean? The nearby Yongsan Electronics Market is perfect for tech shopping, and War Memorial of Korea is literally around the corner if you’re into history. The neighborhood perfectly balances local culture with international accessibility.
The Space
The room itself is cleverly designed to maximize every square inch. There’s a compact kitchen area that’s actually functional — not just for show like in many hotels. The sleeping area feels private despite the open layout, and the bathroom is surprisingly spacious for Seoul standards. I mean, you’re not getting a massive suite here, but everything feels intentional and well-thought-out. The decor strikes this nice balance between modern minimalism and homey touches that make you want to settle in for more than just a night.
Practical Considerations
Let’s talk about the practical stuff that actually matters when you’re traveling. The building is secure but finding it the first time can be a bit tricky — it’s tucked into a residential block, so don’t expect a big hotel sign. Parking isn’t really an option here (this is Seoul, after all), but the subway connections are excellent. The host is responsive and helpful, which makes a huge difference when you’re dealing with any questions or issues that come up. This apartment-style accommodation offers a unique blend of convenience and authenticity that appeals to discerning travelers.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something special about this place that keeps drawing people back, especially couples looking for a romantic getaway in the city. The intimate setting and prime location create this perfect bubble where you can experience Seoul like a local while still having all the comforts you need. It’s not trying to be fancy or luxurious — it’s just really, really good at what it does. The fact that recent guests consistently rate the location so highly tells you everything you need to know about how well-positioned this place is for exploring the city. Whether you’re seeking a restaurant nearby or cultural attractions, this location delivers on all fronts.

Guest Reviews
The host was super attentive to my questions and concerns. I noticed others review the beds being too hard, but it was exactly what I liked. The living space was very cozy. It was just like the pictures. The complimentary oranges were cute.
Hipster-style interior, comfortable bed, great location. The owner made us feel very welcome with a cute note, some apples and basic cooking items supplied (oil, salt). German bakery underneath provides great breakfast options.
