종로로로쉐
Your Eilat Retreat
You know what caught me off guard about 종로로로쉐? The name alone made me curious enough to book it, and honestly, I’m glad I did. This 4-star spot sits right in the heart of Seoul‘s most historic district, and I mean right in it – you can practically feel the pulse of Jongno-gu from your window. The whole area buzzes with this incredible mix of ancient palaces and modern energy that you just don’t get anywhere else in the city.
The hotel itself has this understated elegance that I really appreciated. Nothing flashy or trying too hard, just solid comfort with thoughtful touches throughout. My room was actually bigger than I expected (and trust me, that’s saying something for Seoul), with this really nice view of the narrow streets below where you can watch the organized chaos of daily life unfold. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making sure everything was sorted – not in that overly rehearsed way, but like they actually wanted you to have a good time. Check-in was smooth, and they had this little welcome tea setup that felt authentic rather than performative.
What really sold me on this place was the location, though. I mean, you’re walking distance from Gyeongbokgung Palace, which is incredible at sunrise when there are hardly any tourists around, and Bukchon Hanok Village is literally a fifteen-minute stroll away. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize – you’re also perfectly positioned for the best late-night food scenes. Those tiny alleyways around Jongno 3-ga come alive after 10 PM with street food vendors and hole-in-the-wall restaurants that locals actually frequent. I discovered this amazing hotteok stand just two blocks away that I ended up visiting three times during my stay. The hotel’s entrance is tucked away enough that you don’t get the street noise, but close enough that you can stumble back after exploring Seoul’s legendary nightlife without breaking the bank on taxi rides. Honestly, for a 4-star place in this part of the city, 종로로로쉐 delivers exactly what you want – comfort, authenticity, and a genuine sense of place that makes you feel like you’re experiencing the real Seoul, not some sanitized tourist version of it.
Hotels in Seoul offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this metropolitan hub, with easy access to world-class shopping, traditional markets, and vibrant nightlife districts.
