You know what? I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Y Stay, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But sometimes you stumble onto those hidden gems that completely flip your expectations, and this is definitely one of them. The moment I walked through the doors, there was this immediate sense that someone actually cares about this place. It’s not trying to be fancy or pretentious, but everything just works really well together.

What really struck me was how the staff seemed to genuinely know their regulars – I mean, I watched the front desk guy remember someone’s coffee preference from their last stay. That’s the kind of attention you usually don’t see unless you’re paying twice as much somewhere else. The rooms have this comfortable, lived-in feel without being worn down, if that makes sense. The beds are actually good (I’m picky about this stuff), and honestly, the shower pressure was better than some luxury hotels I’ve stayed at. Little things like having enough outlets near the bed and blackout curtains that actually block light – you’d be surprised how many places mess up the basics.

I spent a few evenings just hanging out in their common area, and it’s got this relaxed vibe where you can actually have a conversation without shouting over music or feeling like you’re disturbing anyone. The location works really well too – you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the main tourist chaos that you can actually get some sleep. Parking was straightforward, which saved me the usual headache of circling blocks looking for a spot. I mean, look, it’s not going to blow your mind with over-the-top amenities or Instagram-worthy lobbies, but what Y Stay does, it does really well. It’s the kind of place where you check in planning to just crash for the night and end up extending your stay because it feels right. For the price point, you’re getting way more value than you have any right to expect.

  Our hosts were fantastic from start to finish, always very communicative and in close touch concerning any questions we had. They made check-in and check-out super easy, including safe storage of our luggage when desiring to pick it up later in the day after check-out. The beds were very comfortable, bathrooms were super clean, and the air-conditioning was perfectly easy to control for the different personal tastes of our group members.
