The rooms themselves are pretty standard Travelodge fare – clean, functional, nothing fancy but everything works. The beds are surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about this stuff), and the bathrooms are compact but well-designed. What I appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, especially considering you’re in the heart of the city. The walls seem decently soundproofed, though you’ll still hear some street noise if you’re a super light sleeper. The staff at check-in spoke decent English, which was helpful, and they had these little neighborhood maps with handwritten recommendations that felt genuinely useful rather than just promotional fluff. The Wi-Fi actually worked well throughout the building – I was working remotely during part of my stay and never had connection issues.

I found myself grabbing hotteok from a cart literally around the corner most mornings anyway.
