The concierge actually knows the city – not just the touristy stuff, but where locals go for good Korean barbecue at 2 AM or which subway exit gets you closest to the vintage shops in Hongdae. Room service arrives faster than it should logically be possible, and the housekeeping is so thorough I started leaving small “tests” just to see if they’d notice (they always did). Sure, you’re paying for all this – it’s definitely not a budget option – but there’s something to be said for a place that delivers on its promises without any unpleasant surprises. The pool area gets busy during Seoul’s brutal summer months, and honestly, the breakfast buffet can feel a bit overwhelming with all the options, but these are good problems to have. If you’re doing Seoul right and want a home base that actually enhances the experience rather than just providing a bed, this is your spot.
