Stylish and Modern New Home
Your Seoul Retreat
First Impressions
When I first walked into Stylish and Modern New Home, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from a three-star property in Seoul. But you know what? This place completely surprised me. The name pretty much says it all — it really does feel like stepping into someone’s beautifully designed modern home rather than a typical hotel. The clean lines, thoughtful lighting, and that distinctly Korean minimalist aesthetic immediately put me at ease after a long flight.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about Yongsan District — it’s one of those neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often overlook. You’re actually in a sweet spot here, close enough to the action but without the chaos of Myeongdong or Hongdae. The subway connections are solid, and I found myself walking to quite a few places I wanted to explore. What really struck me was how the area comes alive in the evenings — there are these great little Korean BBQ spots and cafes tucked into side streets that you’d never find in the more touristy areas.
The Space
My room felt more like a studio apartment than a hotel room, which I mean in the best possible way. The design is sleek without being cold — lots of natural wood, clean white walls, and these floor-to-ceiling windows that flood everything with light during the day. The kitchen setup was particularly impressive for this price point; it’s compact but functional, with everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the nearby market and cook something simple. I actually ended up making Korean instant noodles one night, and it felt oddly authentic doing it in such a well-designed space.
Neighborhood Life
What I loved most was how this place lets you experience Seoul like a local. In the morning, I’d grab coffee from the family-run cafe downstairs (the ajumma there makes incredible hotteok), and in the evenings, I’d wander through the residential streets watching daily life unfold. There’s something special about staying in a real neighborhood rather than a hotel district — you see kids walking to school, office workers grabbing lunch, elderly folks playing baduk in the small parks. It’s the Seoul you don’t see in guidebooks.
Why Guests Love It
I can totally understand why couples rate this place so highly — there’s an intimacy to the whole experience that you just don’t get in larger hotels. The space feels private and personal, perfect for travelers who want to create their own little Seoul story. Plus, the value is honestly incredible for what you get. You’re paying three-star prices but getting an experience that feels much more premium. The attention to design details, the quality of the furnishings, even the way the morning light hits the windows — it all adds up to something memorable. If you’re the type of traveler who appreciates good design and wants to feel connected to the city rather than insulated from it, this place will definitely hit the mark.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Seoul at least two months ahead for major events like K-pop concerts and cultural festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular attractions.

Guest Reviews
The location was quite good, close to the bus stations connecting to the different hotspots in Seoul quickly. For Google maps and taxi driver, it might be better to look for the nearby 8Pieces Pizza, which is easily found.
