I spent mornings wandering around the quieter residential streets nearby (there’s this amazing little bakery about two blocks away that locals line up for), then hopped on the train to hit the busier parts of town. What surprised me most was how peaceful it gets at night – for being so centrally located, you don’t get the constant traffic noise that drives me crazy at other hotels. The building seems well-insulated, or maybe I just got lucky with my room placement. Either way, I actually slept through the night, which is saying something for a light sleeper like me.
