I actually ended up chatting with the front desk staff for like ten minutes during check-in because they genuinely seemed to care about making sure I knew the area well.

The rooms are where this place really shines though. Sure, they’re not massive or anything, but whoever designed them actually thought about how people use hotel rooms in real life. The lighting is spot-on – you can actually read without squinting, and there are enough outlets that you don’t have to choose between charging your phone and your laptop. The beds are surprisingly comfortable too, with that perfect firmness that doesn’t leave you sore in the morning. I’m usually pretty sensitive to street noise, but the windows do a solid job keeping things quiet, even when I stayed during what seemed like a busy weekend.

What really impressed me was how the staff handled the little things that most places mess up. Room service showed up exactly when they said it would, housekeeping managed to clean around my stuff without making it feel like they’d rearranged my entire life, and – this might sound small but it matters – the Wi-Fi actually worked consistently throughout the building. I spent a couple mornings working from the little seating area near the lobby, and honestly, it was better than trying to find a decent coffee shop. Speaking of which, their breakfast setup isn’t fancy, but they nail the basics and the coffee is legitimately good, not that watery hotel stuff you usually get. The 9.8 rating isn’t just impressive numbers on paper – you can feel it in how smoothly everything runs and how the staff genuinely seems to enjoy working there. It’s the kind of place where you don’t spend your stay worrying about whether things will work properly, which, let’s be real, is exactly what you want when you’re traveling.
