I stayed here during a pretty hectic work trip, and being able to walk to meetings instead of dealing with Seoul’s subway during rush hour – well, that alone made the stay worth it. The rooms have this clean, minimalist thing going on that I actually found pretty relaxing after spending days in the city’s sensory overload. Nothing fancy, but the beds are solid, the wifi doesn’t cut out during video calls, and the bathrooms are spotless in that particular way Korean hotels seem to master.

What really impressed me, though, was how the staff handled the practical stuff without making a big deal about it. Check-in was smooth even when I arrived way earlier than I should have, and they stored my luggage without the usual bureaucratic dance. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after business hours – which might disappoint some people looking for nightlife, but honestly, I slept better than I had in weeks. There’s a 7-Eleven right downstairs (because of course there is), and if you walk about five minutes in any direction, you’ll hit either a coffee shop that takes its espresso seriously or a restaurant where the ajumma will make sure you eat enough. The 7.7 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be a luxury experience, but it nails the fundamentals so well that you end up appreciating the thoughtful touches. The kind of place where you realize you’ve been spoiled when you stay somewhere else and the shower pressure is terrible or the air conditioning sounds like a small aircraft taking off.
