Shal la la stay Overview
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Shal la la stay – I mean, the name alone made me think it might be one of those quirky places that’s either absolutely charming or completely chaotic. Turns out it’s definitely the former, and honestly, I’m kind of glad it flies under the radar because it means fewer crowds and that laid-back vibe that’s getting harder to find these days.
The whole place has this relaxed, almost bohemian energy that you pick up on immediately. It’s a solid 3-star spot, but don’t let that fool you – they’ve got the essentials down pat, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need. The rooms are clean and comfortable (nothing fancy, but the beds are actually really good), and there’s this attention to small details that tells you the staff genuinely cares. I loved how they’ve decorated the common areas with local artwork and plants everywhere – it feels lived-in rather than sterile. The check-in was smooth, no hassles, and the front desk folks were the kind of helpful where they actually listen to your questions instead of just rattling off rehearsed responses.
What really sold me on this place though was the atmosphere during different parts of the day. Mornings are beautifully quiet – you can actually hear birds instead of traffic, which is pretty rare these days. The evenings get a bit more social, with guests chatting in the lobby area, but it never gets rowdy or disruptive. I mean, with an 8.8 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and after staying there, I get it. It’s not trying to be the flashiest hotel in town, but it nails that sweet spot of being comfortable, authentic, and reasonably priced. The Wi-Fi is solid (always important), parking was easy, and I never had any of those annoying hotel issues like thin walls or weird smells. If you’re looking for a place that feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed guest house than a corporate hotel chain, this is your spot. Just don’t tell everyone about it – some places are better when they stay a little secret.
Early hotels booking in Seoul requires advance planning during peak tourist seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s legendary palaces, shopping districts, and Korean cultural attractions.

Beautiful and clean apartment, good location
Nor from Malaysia (8/10)
Our entire family loved the apartment—it was clean, well-equipped, and felt like a true home away from home. We especially enjoyed starting each day with breakfast in the cozy space before heading out on our sightseeing adventures. Picking up fresh fruits from the nearby shop to enjoy back at the apartment was a delightful touch. Coming back after a long day, we felt completely at ease, relaxing with Netflix and unwinding in comfort. We’re also so grateful for the convenience of being able to wash and prepare all our laundry before our next stop in Jeju. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Everything. Washing facility with dryer is great. Very spacious place. A pleased surprise as the outside is a but scary. Very centrally located. Both metro and buses close by.

Such a big space!
Bedrooms were nicely decorated, simple but cute.
Bless the owner for leaving instant noodle cups that saved me from hunger late at night haha.
The owner was very active with replying to my messages very late at night too, thank you so much for making it more comfortable for me.
Uber/taxis can still come pick you up or drop you off right in front of the apartment even though it’s a small alley way.Amanda from Canada (9/10)
