Seoul Nest Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Seoul Nest in the Yongsan district, you immediately get the sense this isn’t trying to be something it’s not. It’s a solid three-star property that knows exactly what it does well — and honestly, that’s refreshing in a city where so many places oversell themselves. The building sits quietly on Huam-ro 49-gil, and while it might not have the flashy entrance of bigger hotels, there’s something genuinely welcoming about the understated approach.
Location That Actually Works
Here’s what I love about this spot in Seoul — you’re in Yongsan-gu, which means you’re close enough to everything that matters without being stuck in the tourist chaos of Myeongdong or Gangnam. The subway connections are actually pretty great from here, and I mean that in a practical way, not just because the brochure says so. You can get to Hongdae for nightlife, Itaewon for international food, or downtown for business meetings without that exhausting hour-long commute. Couples seem to really get this — they’ve rated the location 8.9, and I can see why after spending time in the area.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was clean and thoughtfully designed, though don’t expect anything revolutionary. What struck me was how they’ve maximized the space without making it feel cramped — something Seoul hotels often struggle with. The bed was comfortable enough that I actually slept well (which, let’s be honest, doesn’t always happen when you’re adjusting to a new place), and the bathroom had decent water pressure. You know what really worked? The little details like having enough outlets near the bed and blackout curtains that actually block light.
Practical Comforts
The staff here genuinely seem to care about making your stay work, rather than just going through the motions. When I had questions about getting around the neighborhood, they didn’t just hand me a generic map — they actually gave useful advice about which exits to use at nearby stations. There’s a small restaurant area where you can grab breakfast, and while it’s not going to win any culinary awards, it’s solid Korean and international options that’ll get your day started right. The WiFi was reliable throughout the building, which honestly matters more than fancy amenities when you’re trying to stay connected.
Why Guests Love It
Seoul Nest works because it delivers on the basics really well, and in a city like Seoul, that’s exactly what most travelers need. The 8.9 rating makes sense when you experience how smoothly everything runs — from check-in to getting recommendations for nearby restaurants. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or rooftop pools, but you’re getting a genuinely comfortable base in a neighborhood that feels more like real Seoul than the tourist districts. For the price point and location, it’s the kind of place you’d actually book again, which says everything you need to know.

Great location walking distance to Seoul station. Basic room but has everything I needed, good value for money. Appreciated that it was a high quality mattress too so I slept comfortably. There's a coffee machine in the entrance area which was much appreciated.

The room and toilet is clean, netflix, YouTube, hot water -tea / coffee, hairdryer and other basic amenities are available. The bed and pillow are great! The room size is just nice for a solo traveler. The location is just a few minutes away from Seoul Station so it’s easy for me with heavy backpack to get there.
