I spent way too much money at Doota and Migliore just because they were so ridiculously close – dangerous for the wallet, but incredibly convenient when you’re carrying bags of questionable fashion choices back to your room. The thing about staying in this part of Seoul is that it never really sleeps. There’s always something happening, whether it’s the night markets getting busy around 10 PM or early morning deliveries to the wholesale shops. Surprisingly though, once you’re up in your room, the noise pretty much disappears – they’ve done a solid job with soundproofing.

What I really appreciated was how the hotel works for different types of stays. The regular hotel rooms are spacious by Seoul standards (and trust me, that matters), but they also have these longer-term residence options that are perfect if you’re in town for business or an extended visit. The kitchen facilities in the residence units are actually functional – not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation. I watched a Japanese businessman who’d been staying there for weeks cooking proper meals, which tells you something about the setup. The gym is decent too, nothing fancy but it has what you need, and it’s usually pretty quiet in the mornings. One small thing that bugged me – the elevator wait times can get a bit long during peak hours, but honestly, that’s a pretty minor complaint for a hotel this size. The breakfast spread is solid, with both international options and Korean dishes that don’t feel like tourist versions. Overall, it’s one of those places where you can tell they’ve thought about what travelers actually need rather than just what looks good in photos.

  This hotel is located downtown so it's really convenient for tourists to get around in the city. The view and breakfast are also fantastic, for you can see Seoul Tower through the windows of the 20th-floor lobby, and a variety of foods are offered in the morning, and they taste good as well. The room is always clean and tidy, so I believe housekeepers are very professional and efficient in their work.
