About this stay

Your Seoul Retreat

You know what caught me off guard about #New #Seoul #Hongdae #3BDS #1BA #private #1FL Sabrina in YeonNam? It’s actually tucked away in this quieter pocket of the Hongdae area that most tourists never stumble across. I mean, everyone thinks they know Hongdae – the clubs, the college crowd, the street food chaos – but this place sits right on the edge where it bleeds into YeonNam-dong, and honestly, that makes all the difference.

The apartment itself is on the first floor, which I was initially skeptical about because, well, street noise in Seoul can be brutal. But here’s the thing – YeonNam has this completely different vibe from central Hongdae. It’s where the actual locals hang out, not just the party tourists. You’ll hear the occasional motorbike or late-night conversation drifting up from the street, but it’s more like white noise than anything jarring. The three bedrooms are actually spacious by Seoul standards (and I’ve stayed in my share of shoebox apartments here), and there’s something refreshing about having a whole place to yourself instead of bumping into other guests in hotel hallways. The single bathroom setup works fine unless you’re traveling with people who take forever getting ready – you know the type.

What really won me over was the neighborhood itself. Walk five minutes toward Hongik University and you’re in full party mode, but step the other way toward YeonNam Park and you’ll find these tiny cafes that locals guard like secrets, plus some genuinely good Korean BBQ spots that don’t jack up prices for foreigners. There’s this particular convenience store right around the corner that becomes your lifeline – trust me, you’ll be there daily grabbing everything from hangover cures to decent instant ramen at 2 AM. The subway connections are solid too; Hongik University Station gets you anywhere you need to go, though the walk there with heavy luggage isn’t exactly fun. I’d definitely recommend packing light or budgeting for a taxi from the airport. The check-in process was surprisingly smooth actually – none of that awkward waiting around in lobbies or dealing with front desk confusion. Having your own keys and space feels liberating after a long flight, especially when jet lag hits and you just want to crash without worrying about quiet hours or other guests. It’s the kind of place that grows on you – not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but genuinely comfortable in a way that makes you feel like you’re living in Seoul rather than just visiting it.
