Walking into MH-Stay#2, you immediately get that feeling of finding something unexpectedly good. This three-star property doesn’t try to be flashy — it just does everything right. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe that feels fresh without being sterile, and honestly, the staff’s English is way better than I expected for a place at this price point.

Location & Neighborhood

The location on Eulji-ro is actually brilliant if you know Seoul at all. You’re right in Jung-gu, which means you can walk to Myeongdong in about ten minutes, but you’re not dealing with the chaos of being right in the thick of it. The subway connections here are fantastic — Euljiro 3-ga station is practically next door, and you’ve got multiple lines within easy reach. I mean, couples seem to absolutely love this spot (they rate it nearly perfect), and I can see why. There’s something romantic about being able to stroll to all the main attractions but still having a quiet street to come back to.

The Room Experience

The room itself surprised me with how thoughtfully designed it was. Everything feels purposeful — the lighting actually works for both getting ready and winding down, and the bed is genuinely comfortable (not just “decent for the price”). The bathroom is compact but well-planned, with good water pressure that you can’t always count on in this part of the city. What I really appreciated was the attention to soundproofing — Seoul can be noisy, but you’d hardly know it from inside.

Practical Perks

Here’s something that’ll matter if you’re driving — they actually have parking on site, which is almost unheard of in central Seoul without paying through the nose for it. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout the building, and there are enough outlets in the room that you won’t be playing musical chairs with your devices. Small touches like having a decent hair dryer and proper hangers (you know what I mean if you’ve stayed in budget places) show they’ve thought about what travelers actually need.

Look, MH-Stay#2 isn’t going to wow you with a fancy spa or multiple restaurants — that’s not what it’s about. What it does is give you a really solid base in one of Seoul’s best neighborhoods without the premium price tag. The 9.0 rating isn’t an accident — this place just works. You’ll spend your time exploring the incredible food scene in Myeongdong, wandering through Dongdaemun, or taking day trips via the subway, then come back to a clean, quiet, well-located place to recharge. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want from a hotel, especially when the location puts you this close to everything that makes Seoul special.
